  1. Hi Stephen.....welcome to the Club Feel free to start up a local Jagaur Owners Club meeting in your area if you wish. We can assist with promoting the meetings (usually local pub with large carpark) when COVID restrictions finally lift
  2. Absolutely, they are superbly engineered and there is no reason that with the correct routine maintenance it should go on indefinitely
  3. What kit was he using to code the car?
  4. Yes, as far as I remember they are interference engines Has the chain gone?
  5. Hi Paula.....welcome to the Club She certainly is photogenic 🙂 Good to have you onboard
  6. The only thing I can think of is the valve clearances if the valve seats were to recede slightly due to running on poor quality fuel and pre-ignition which can cause this (best to run on 97 octane and additives) If clearances change then re-shimming may become necessary
  7. Hi Wayne......welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  8. Hi.....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  9. You haven't moved far over the years then Tim? Pretty much jumped neighbouring counties then 🙂

  12. Hi Nigel....welcome to the Club Feel free to dive into answering any posts Good to have you onboard!
  13. Hi Grant.....welcome to the Club I would advise carrying out a search in the forums to see what faults come up for these models and engines Hope you find a good example of the Jaguar you're after, I'm sure there's some good ones out there
  14. Hi.....welcome to the club I would be tempted to disconnect the battery, leave for a short while and then reconnect (negative off first and on last). The try to plip the locks with the key fob and see if it reads the keys after a few attempts. Here's some info on battery reset but for S-Type but some functions may not work but may also be helpful to see procedures
  15. Hi Tony......welcome to the Club That is worrying if it cuts whilst driving. Has the car had enough prolonged usage to charge the battery? If not, this can lead to similar issues as can leaving the car sat for many days/weeks at a time. Has the fuel filter been replaced recently?
  16. Hi Nigel.....welcome to the Club Fine choice(s) of cars....a car for every occasion! Good to have you onboard!
  17. Hi David....welcome to the Club I agree with Peter, sounds like the pre-heater emitting fumes into the cabin. Ensure it is not running constantly and that it times out after a few minutes
  18. So who's up for this Jaguar show at Beaulieu this year? https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-jaguar/
  19. Hi Chris.....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard
  20. It sounds like the cooling system is probably cavitation which is caused by either a hotspot in the coolant system or a faulty pressure relief cap which is cheaper to replace to eliminate this as a possible cause.
  21. You should be able to move the seat all the way forwards, undo any bolts and then all the way back and undo any bolts there and the seat should come out
  22. Hi....welcome to the Club Hopefully you will find what you're looking for in the forums, if not ask away and I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Good to have you onboard!
  23. Hi Kev....welcome to the Forum Great looking XKR ! Good to have you onboard
  24. I think it would be worth removing the servo which isn't too difficult to remove and inspect the valve where the pushrod goes into and see if there is corrosion in there...if so replace the servo
  25. Hope this helps? Looks like F28 is the fuse (15 amp)
