  1. Hi Brian....welcome to the Club Plenty of info on here, probably best to just cruise through the S-Type section of the forum and read as much as poss to get a good idea of the highs and lows of the model. Usually, there is a recurring theme of a particular fault and hopefully the answers will also be there. Merry Christmas to you as well 🙂
  2. Hi Roger.....welcome to the Club I have moved this post to the S-Type section of the forum as you will more than likely get a response from a fellow S-Type owner in that section. Cheers, Trevor
  3. Hi Oliver....welcome to the Club It sounds like it is the main battery charge memory.....e.g, you have replaced the battery but the electronic memory is still reading as low. You will need to reset the vehicle electronic memory to accept the new battery voltage (believe there is some info on how to do this on here). This should at least get it to turn over. If it does not start from there then this may be the reason it has not been running for a period of time Let us know how it all goes
  4. Hi Pete...welcome to the Club Hope all goes to plan Good to have you onboard
  5. Hi Ray.....welcome to the Club It's never too late to become a Jaguar driver and the XF is a fine machine to own Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi Henry....welcome to the Club Looks absolutely regal in that colour and interior really compliments the exterior Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Tony....welcome to the Club I'm sure there will be plenty of add on accessories on the market as soon as they are available (e.g. side steps, etc) Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  8. Hi Paul.....welcome to the Club Sorry for the late response, good to have you onboard Sounds like it has over-extended the drive rod. First check there is no obstruction underneath the seat (e.g. something dropped into the area such as a bottle or umbrella) Possibly try operating it with someone gently pushing back with their feet against the front footwell and see if it can be persuaded back off the rest point. Cheers, Trevor
  9. Hi Bill.....welcome to the Club Sorry for the late reply. You can list the parts in this forum https://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/forum/25-jaguar-parts-and-accessories-for-sale/ Would love to see some photos of the build, sounds very exciting (and expensive!) Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  10. Hi David.....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  11. Hi Mark.....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  12. Hi David Here are some links to Tracker companies that we have listed within the Club as offering a discount to Premium Members:
  13. Hi Roy....welcome to the Club As long as it is serviced and maintained regularly using quality replacement parts then there's no reason it shouldn't go on for many years to come Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  14. Hi Raj....welcome to the Club Wow! huge miles but as I always say 'it wouldn't have got to those miles if it wasn't any good'. Just got to carry out routine maintenance when it is required and use reputable parts and fluids and you shouldn't have any issues Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  15. Managed to crash by BMW Z3 on cheap Chinese tyres that came with a set of replacement wheels....LETHAL in the wet is definitely an understatement!!! I would not recommend anyone to buy these dangerous tyres that are currently flooding the UK market, spend some money and buy branded or at least not Chinese.
  16. Either hoses or ABS issue (valve holding on that particular circuit/channel)
  17. It sounds like the automatic gearbox fluid needs topping up or replacing (assuming it is an automatic) if it is a manual gearbox then the clutch is slipping
  18. It sounds like the keys are not coded to the car, this would need dealer level equipment to code the fobs to the car but a reputable diagnostic specialist with the correct equipment could easily carry out this task
  19. Thanks for your post Max.....very enlightening! It certainly makes you wonder about submersing electrical power supply and components that consume enough power to char the wiring....although never heard of any tanks catching fire but when you feel how hot an external mounted pump gets under load I'm quite surprised that the fuel keeps it all sufficiently cool.
  20. Can you plug the original LED in to see if that makes any difference to the system?
  21. It sounds like there is air trapped in the matrix....is it blowing hot air?
  22. Can you post up some photos of it please?
  23. Its worth getting quotes from reputable independent repairers as they would be cheaper than the dealer but you may also need to replace the water pump whilst in the area as it is more cost efficient to do it then
