  1. Hi Lee....welcome to the Club I'm sure it will take some time to learn the controls and systems but I'm sure you'll get there in the end...and then still find more stuff to fiddle with, lol Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  2. Hi John....welcome to the Club Sounds like you have a real project on your hands there....good luck with getting it sorted....I'm sure it'll be worth the work to get the desired outcome Cheers, Trevor
  3. Hi Nigel...welcome to the Club Good luck with your search and keep us updated on how it's going Cheers, Trevor
  4. oh dear, sorry to hear that you scratched the S-Type, no denying that one by the sound of it. Hope it's not too expensive to repair. 100 red Mini's....how much would they be worth nowadays...I wouldn't even like to hazard a guess.
  5. Great review and pictures Carole, thanks for sharing it with us. The Haynes museum has always been a favourite of mine but I haven't visited in a while. Someone told me that they have recently revamped quite a large part of the museum along with the number of display cars being increased. Glad you had a great time, even the weather looked unusually pleasant for this time of year. Regards, Trevor
  6. Hi Peter Possibly it's the safety procedure and tools required to isolate the power supply to avoid electrocution especially if they also have to spot weld pins to pull out the dent. But you can't beat the good old panel beater who probably didn't worry about any of that as he would have dollied it out and not had to involve touching any other part of the vehicle, especially the electrical system. Glad it all worked out okay and very good price as well. Personally, I would have denied all knowledge of damaging it in the first place and blamed it on a supermarket car park incident....but I'm sure either way, you would have ended up paying for it, lol Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Kevin...welcome to the Club That's a fine looking XF...always looks superb in silver Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  8. Hi Karl...welcome to the Forum As Lazlo Woodbine has stated, unless there is a massive restriction in the intake system (which on the XF-S is unlikely) then the best method would be to get a Remap of the engine ECU....far cheaper and better all round to unleash more horses. Plenty of suppliers out there, but look for one that is reputable and may not always be the cheapest but is certainly the best you can get for your money. Keep us updated on your quest for more power. Cheers, Trevor
  9. Yes, forgot about that one until just after I set up the poll and could not add it in afterwards....but what a superb car that was!
  10. Hi Wes....welcome to the Club That's a fine looking Jag and lovin' the colour Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  11. It's a great feeling when you get fellow car owners waving or giving you a flash when your driving along...happens to so many makes and models...notably MG, 2CV, MX5 and so many more beside. Maybe we should start a 'Spotted driving around....' section in the forum?
  12. Hi John There could be a number of reasons but I would get a scan carried out to initially see if there are any fault codes stored in the ECU memory and then go from there. Could be crankshaft sensor, fuel system...a whole range of things really. Let us know what you discover. Cheers, Trevor
  13. Hi Paddy...welcome to the Club Maybe best to put up a separate post in the X-Type section of the forum for a more guided response Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
