  1. Hi Richard, I can't imagine that anything else would lead to a constant squeaking on your car...especially for almost a year now. If anything was disconnected and refitted around the bushes then this would usually result in a 'clunking' noise (loose bolts, etc). One other thought is that when fitting bushes, the final tighten up of the nuts/bolts should be when the suspension is loaded (e.g. the weight of the vehicle in the normal ride position). So maybe loosen off the nuts/bolts and torque them back up when the vehicle is on the ground or ramps and then the bushes flex over a lesser angle. Regards, Trevor
  2. Hi Alex, if trevor.catt@autoclubsinternational.com does not work then you could try shop@autoclubhub.com Hope this works for you Regards Trevor
  3. Hi Mike it sounds like an excellent list of modifications and money well spent in my opinion! Would certainly free up the factory restricted horsepower and make the car more driveable I'm sure? Definitely like to see some pictures if you wouldn't mind posting them up. Regards, Trevor
  4. See all 2 pictures This is the first official picture of the production-ready Jaguar F-Type Coupe, showing a bird's-eye view of the car and its large panoramic glass roof. Jaguar also confirmed that F-Type Coupe release date will be on the eve of the LA Motor Show – at 3.30am on 20 November – at what it says will be “the world’s most dynamic car reveal ever” but remains tight-lipped about the exact details. After months of speculation and spy pictures of the car near the factory in Gaydon and testing at the famous Nurburgring Circuit in Germany, this first official image fails to reveal much extra detail about the car - apart from the glass roof. With the panoramic glass roof, the F-Type Coupe could be more of a rival for the forthcoming Porsche 911 Targa - as such a feature is likely to add weight and raise the centre of gravity. At the moment there is no word on whether Jaguar will offer the glass roof as a cost option or fitted as standard, but the first choice seems more likely. Following the example set by Porsche with the Cayman, the F-type Coupe is likely to cost more than the roadster when it arrives in showrooms, with a starting price of around £60,000 for the entry 335bhp V6 version. In our gallery, our exclusive image shows how the Coupe will look from the front. Panoramic roof aside, there won’t be many surprises, as the design is so close to the C-X16 concept that debuted at the Frankfurt show back in 2011. Director of design Ian Callum said: “The excitement generated when we revealed the C-X16 concept was terrific. To now be on the cusp of what will be a drama-filled reveal in LA is a significant moment.” If the launch of the Range Rover Sport at the New York Motor Show is anything to go by then expect to see a few celebrities pop up at the event. The F-Type convertible debuted last year at the Paris Show and its engine line-up of 335bhp V6, 375bhp V6S and 488bhp V8S models will be mirrored by the Coupe. In keeping with its performance flagship billing, the newcomer is expected to spawn a 542bhp supercharged V8 F-Type R - at a later date.
  5. Jaguar XF 2016 spied See all 7 pictures All-new Jaguar XF saloon will arrive in 2016 and our spy photos reveal new chassis and turbocharged engines The Jaguar XF is the heart of the company's range of cars, and despite Jaguar's ambitious plans for an SUV and small saloon, the XF is also due for a complete overhaul in the next three years. Our spy photographers have captured new prototypes of the Jaguar XF 2016 in the clearest detail yet, and these latest images reveal how the new BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class rival is taking shape. The next-generation Jaguar XF will sit on the same all-aluminium iQ[al] modular platform as both the C-X17 concept and the ‘XS’ compact saloon – but with a stretched wheelbase and wider track than on the current model, and that also means it should be a lot lighter than before as well. The black test mule in our pictures features a recessed grille and wider front apron that has been bolted on to accommodate the wider wheel arches. The door handles are all recessed into the body work another telltale sign that these are old panels draped over brand new chassis architecture. At the back a pair of twin exhausts which exit much closer to the middle of the bumper are clearly visible – along with the gaps where the original pipes go. That proves the next XF is likely to use the same expanded range of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines being built at Jaguar's new factory in Solihull. Higher up the range a supercharged V6 and petrol and diesel hybrids will both be offered, while the flagship versions are still likely to use V8 power. For the first time in the UK the XF will be offered with the option of two or four-wheel drive – reflecting a rise in all-wheel drive across the segement. Speaking to Auto Express at the Frankfurt Motor Show, former Jaguar boss Adrian Hallmark told us: “The XF is the core of the Jaguar volume, it's our volume product and we want to take that to another level.” He also said that bringing in new bodystyles like Sportbrake earlier in the life cycle was key to making more profit. As we already know the small saloon will make its debut in 2015 – with a coupe and estate also in the works – but the new Jaguar XF is likely to arrive a year later. If it follows the pattern of the current car than expect to see a concept at the Detroit show in January, with the production model appearing at Paris in September. 1 Nov, 2013 1:26pmPaul Bond

  9. Sorry to hear about your incident. I know that a lot of supermarkets do have signs stating that they are not liable for any damage caused whilst parking there. Is the bumper badly damaged or can it just be reattached?
  10. Glad to hear that Graham...I suppose the only solution now is to turn up the radio :)

  14. Hi Tommyjag, Glad the solution was immediate replacement of a faulty part...these things happen. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come and that you thoroughly enjoy your Jag over the forthcoming years. Regards Trevor
  15. Hi Graham I would advise that any knocking noise is checked out sooner than later. There are several possible causes for suspension knocking....worn or damaged dampers, broken road springs, anti-roll links and bushes worn/broken, loose wheel nuts, etc. I would take it to a local garage or dealer, but either way a professional diagnosis is not difficult or expensive and it can certainly put your mind at rest. Let us know how you get on regards Trevor
  16. Generally, some new bushes can squeak from new...a way around this would be to remove them and spray liberally with Silicon. However, I imagine the noise will disappear as they wear in after a short time. Let us know how it progresses....hopefully it won't drive you mad! regards Trevor
  17. Glad to hear you have given the old girl new life! Long may you continue to enjoy it :)

  20. Hi Mike...and welcome to the club ! I have looked on eBay and there are several different replacement consoles being offered. May be a bit of work to swap them over but I think the end result would justify the time and expense http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC0.A0.Xjaguar+x+type+centre+console&_nkw=jaguar+x+type+centre+console&_sacat=0&_from=R40 regards, Trevor
  21. Hi Dave There may be several causes for this....one that crops up a lot is when the vehicle's battery is on its way out, this can trigger the blinking display. Other possible causes could be the display module going faulty and also loose connections. I would start by checking the vehicle battery with a heavy discharge test to establish the condition of it, especially as the weather is now getting colder. Hope this helps? Regards, Trevor
  22. not sure...sounds like its bonded on with double sided sticky tape?
