  5. my first love affair with cars was in the late sixties when I got to sit in a MkII and can still bring to mind the smell of the leather and wood :)
  6. If its anything like the Mercedes boot lock then it will need an oil spraying into it to free up the barrel. The problem being that no one uses the boot lock as it can be opened through the remote and therefore tends to seize up.
  7. Glad to see you used the smooth variety as I think the crunchy version would be too abrasive :) Will have to give it a try myself sometime
  8. Hi Garrett Here is a link for the XF manual....unlocking the boot/trunk is on page 29 Good luck Trevor http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/uploads/media/XFOwnersHandbook.pdf
  9. Hi Derek Welcome to the club ! As for the tyre pressures...If they are standard rims and tyres then the owners handbook should have the pressures. If not fitted as standard, I'm sure I have come across a calculation somewhere but in general, 30 psi all round should do it as a starting point. Anyone have similar tyres (profile, width, etc) that can advise? As for the radio code, if the memory is not erased then usually a code is not required. Enjoy your Jag ! Regards Trevor
  10. I totally agree...I think Jaguar (and Land Rover) as a manufacturer have gone from strength to strength over the years and I'm sure they're well on the way to secure their future as a market leader.

  14. Hi Ian You could see if there is any useful information in this link...if not, then I would try reinstalling once more after maybe rebooting the system. http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/topic/8918-jaguar-navigation-system-diagnostics/
  15. Hi Duncan Welcome to the club ! Glad to hear you're enjoying your new Jag! Has the radio head unit got a slot for CDs in it? If not, I imagine that there is a changer unit somewhere...possibly in the boot? There are Drivers Guides in the Technical sections in this website which may give you some info on the radio/CD. Regards Trevor
