  1. lol...great analogies! In reference to the wireless headphones...I imagine that they would be able to be used anywhere within the car (assuming they are Bluetooth linked to the devices). I have attached a link to a Jaguar 'How to Guide' in this post which may assist in programming your devices to the car. Regards, Trevor http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/topic/8959-jaguar-audio-connectivity-how-to-guide/

  3. Sounds like it all turned out for the best! I have heard the Astons are notoriously unreliable...but they're still a lovely machine. I hope you enjoy the Jag and pop by the forum any time...would be nice to know how it all pans out for you. Regards, Trevor
  4. Hi Trevor....(great name by the way!) Welcome to the club and also to the Jaguar world! Sorry to hear you had problems with the Aston...hopefully you shouldn't have too many problems with the Jag. There is some tutorial information in this forum on programming and operating the radio, etc....if not, feel free to ask any questions. Regards, Trevor

  8. sorry...misunderstood your message. Yes, that is what I have read also. Give it a try and see if the hoses are getting hot whilst you are running the heating system.
  9. You could try that but be cautious of hot steam/water suddenly being emitted under high pressure! Also, make sure that the heater control is in the 'hot' position before bleeding the system

  13. Found this description for bleeding the system. The valve would be on the plastic section of the top hose. The other (aluminium) pipe that you describe sounds like an air conditioning pipe. The bleed valve is on a pipe just to the lower right of the throttle body at the front of the engine. To open it, turn it a 1/4 turn clockwise. This allows air / water to run down a pipe at the back of it, back to the expansion tank. With the valve, open re-fill the system until water starts to come back to the tank via the pipe off the back of the bleed. Once that's done, start the car and run it with the heater on 29 degrees for 5 mins, topping up the tank as necessary. Once the water level is constant, close the valve and put the lid back on.
  14. Hi John Welcome to the club! Certainly looks good in Radiance Red....enjoy it ! Regards, Trevor

  19. Hi Neil ....bit of a strange fault this one. Have you tried switching the controls from automatic climate control to manual override? Only thinking, if there is a fault with any of the climate control sensors then these could be controlling the system to run hot all the time. Maybe some other members have come across this fault before??? Regards, Trevor
  20. Hi Jordi I can't seem to source any replacement sills for your car so you may have to resort to plating the existing ones if they are not too corroded. Maybe other members may know of a supply source? As they have cosmetic sill covers fitted then it doesn't matter too much about how the sills look as long as they are structurally sound. Regards, Trevor
  21. It would be on the top hose and the cap looks the same as a tyre valve dust cap. It is worthwhile opening it very gently and beware of steam & boiling hot water being emitted under high pressure! If you have got air in the system, then you may have to investigate further as to how it got in there?
  22. Hi Mark Welcome to the club! .... and carry on enjoying the Jag :)
