  1. Thats what I thought when I see from VIN that it was made in Halewood, what through me was , when I was into the diagnostics it was only showing a 2.5 engine in the list , but then not all variants are in my Contyscan. It has a Lambda fault so that may be a holed exhaust system .
  2. That's Great , Thanks , just confirms to me its an AWD MODEL, was the 3.0l a ford engine , does anyone know?
  3. hI , can anyone tell me what this VIn No. represents SAJ ad531x1wc15545
  4. Perseverance saves the day , thanks for your help guys , deeper cleaning and attention to detail has the fob working and since then the door card has been off , the inner release handle was stuck in its mechanism and had permanently locked the door , all working now . Just the dreaded corrosion on the chassis behind the front wheel , time for a ramp job
  5. That's great , now changed cleaned , buttons full of Verdigris so now cleaned and appear to pop up and down , reassembled but cant get the second chime to confirm synchro? I was hoping to move to next thread to resolve rear door not opening as I think unless the lock ing fob works it might not synchronize door , inner handle out . How ever sticking to the point , is it possible the battery might not be up to it , its showing 2.96 v .
  6. Got chime now , so I need to know about battery in fob and how to access it please.
  7. Ok thanks tried that and no chime , so have split the fob to check the battery but I don’t want to go further without knowledge of how I get to the battery, can’t see it, would the battery be instrumental in synchronising the set up .
  8. Ok I'm new on here , and just searching around, not very well at the moment , may too new . I am trying to help another Jag enthusiast out to get his key fob working again for opening ,shutting doors , is there a specific sequence , not unlike my RR which pressing three times and confirming settings etc. Amongst other things seems like a nice car X type 3.0L
