  1. Hi Kevin, Yes, (touching wood as I type!), no electrical problems since the battery was replaced! Cheers! Jon
  2. Hi John, If getting to Pulborough, West Sussex is possible for you, I'd recommend a chat with the people at Arun Automotive. They're an independent Jaguar specialist and have the 'proper' Jaguar code readers. Also not as expensive as a main dealer. Good luck! Jon
  3. Sorry, forgot the link to the HERE download site... https://www.jaguar.here.com/index.php#home/0
  4. Hi Gary, I also have a 2017 XF. We may not have the same satnav system (mine doesn't use DVDs - it's a download to PC, copy to USB and load from the USB to the car). My subscription to Here (the map provider) via Jaguar cost £129, but that's for three years of multiple downloads covering UK, all of Europe and, bizarrely, Russia. The maps are updated regularly (at least monthly), but I probably get them once every three months or so. Hope that's of some help. Cheers, Jon
  5. Hi Paul, I'm sure stranger things happen, but it doesn't say much for quality control. Glad you got it sorted though! Jon
  6. Seriously, why would you? Just asking...!
  7. Not sure about Ford (I'm sure I'll be corrected), but... Stream
  8. Hi Paul, Happy to email it to you if you want to share your email address (I understand if you don't). But that bolt does look a bit random. Maybe others have an opinion? Cheers, Jon
  9. Hi Paul, Here's the same area of my boot (2017 XF-S). Not much help with your question - I'm sorry, but I tried! However, I've always thought that Jaguar could have done a better job of hiding the "roof" of the boot in that area. Good luck with your quest (does the bolt rattle?) Cheers, Jon
  10. Hi Paul, I have a 2017 XF. When the sun comes up, I'll take a look at mine, to check if I have anything similar. Cheers, Jon
  11. HI John, Battery is only a month or so old, always supports stop/start, so I guess that isn't the problem and the starter is no slower than when the engine is warmed up. The struggle to start is just for the first start from cold if the ambient temperature is at or close to freezing. Thanks for your help, Jon
  12. Hi All, My XF-S doesn't like starting when it's cold outside! It cranks for a while and eventually runs, but for a few seconds, it's a bit rough. I'm convinced it's an issue with the glowplugs or the glowplug control module, but my local indy dealer (where I bought it from) says that it isn't throwing any OBD codes. It seems that replacing the glowplugs on the 3.0 V6 is a bit of a mission - therefore costly, so I'm reluctant to spring for it if not essential (pensioner now!). My question is... Is it OK to put up with the starting struggles through the winter, or am I risking further grief in the future? Cheers, Jon
  13. So... Got the battery replaced at KwikFit, £260ish! Halfords wouldn't touch it as it needed "coding". Only problem was having to reset a few settings, but not really a hassle. Now I have to remember to disable the dreaded start/stop nonesense though! J
  14. Thanks everyone! I'll get the battery checked and replaced if necessary, then think about a CTec! This is a great forum - always good advice there for the asking. Cheers, Jon
