  1. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08L7ZC21T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_dl_CD6H34G6TMZD33J2ABX2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 One I bought, been great. My aux socket in glove compartment on the slk, but works really well.
  2. I have a bluetooth plug in device in my old SLK, that allows me to use the phone and play amazon music via the original system through my phone. Was about 15 pound of amazon, lot cheaper that replacing unit. From memory different options to plug it in.
  3. Sounds like motor has failed potentially 😞 others may have a view.

You will be surprised on rare editions how much people will pay extra for a full main dealer history 😀
  5. They are comfy cars, never feel like I have been in the car for hours on a long drive. Most engines are pretty decent for performance 👌
  6. Anyone look up cost to replace. Mine are actually OK but curious now 😃

Don't normally use main dealers, but with prices on the rise for my particular model, feels like a worthwhile investment to try and protect it value with a full history with Jaguar. A lot of people do still look for main dealer history rightly or wrongly 😃

Well the car been into the Jaguar service for its annual services. Nothing wrong with the service, but they struggled to get OEM brakes! Apparently a shortage of stock in the UK. The brakes on my XF are a bigger spec, but maybe worth checking if you are due soon as apparently because of all the delays with imports, certain parts are running very low!
  9. The XF is very heavy on battery use, you do need to use them regularly. Battery warranties normally valid if you do more than 5k mileage a year, would check the small print if your doing low mileage. Should say I think in the owners handbook what battery sizes should be use, there are two in these cars need to check both.
  10. Might try it myself, thanks 😀
  11. If not, you may need to get it to a garage to plug it in the read any error codes, hopefully something simple.
  12. Would not use wd40. Would get some internal detailer from Maguires or something similar with lint cloth. Helps
  13. I thought most XFs came with rear cameras due to the size of car, pain they dont! 😪
  14. I think they do fold if not electric, but they are stiff normally. Snap back more easily
  15. If in auto mode for the lights, day lights will come on, but you should not get the light sign on the dashboard if you know what I mean until it gets dark. On the wipers I dont think is not a lot of difference unless it rains more then they get faster etc. Lights on wing mirrors, automatic when it gets dark and you open the door with the fob. There is an option to turn off under settings from memory if equipped.
  16. I hate stop start on my XF. I would either put the car in dynamic mode or turn it off using the button.
  17. I wonder if my layout isslightly different? I dropped my wheel lock key down the side of the chair before, with the electric chair that took some effort to get. We all do it 😀
  18. Sorry to hear this 😞 3-6k sounds like a lot if just suspension damage or have other things been trashed. Would be tempted to get it to an independent garage you can. Suspect will be close to a insurance write off if closer to 6k
  19. Have you got a picture of where you got your key stuck please?
  20. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Did you see the car before buying it or buy it online? If online probably better argument. Can you see the number plate when the Dunlop tyres are on, would need a certain angle picture. Have you ask why they are different? Suspect will say issue with original tyres hence why they replaced.
  21. Just power and 3ltr is a little heavier are the main difference as specs options pretty much the same. Servicing cheaper on 2.2 not buy a lot and suspect tyre wear would be slightly higher on the 3. Both good..
  22. Thank you, you cannot see my rude message the car got in the way... 😀
  23. That does help thanks, hopefully it gets changed 🙂
  24. I dont think it would fail an MOT as you have an inner cap, but frustrating all the same 😞
  25. Common problem for cars in general these days, disconnecting the battery messes with all sort. AA/RAC switch your can on to a backup battery/power source if they replace to stop this happening.
