  1. Holla Denis, Cubist took a look at my enquiry and suggested I picked your brain and Raistlin's. Mine's a 2003 S Type without the optional NAVIGATION SCREEN. I don't need the sat nav to move around and so would not need any Fiber or cable connection to the trunk, but I'm a lover of touchscreens and would like to know if I could just buy the OEM navigation Screen (I know after market screens are available, but I prefer the OEM screen, even though it would be very expensive) and re-fit it into mine, just for the aesthetics, the climate controls, and the stereo. I have seen that it's geometrically compatible, but would it work without any additional programming? Like I said earlier, I'm not bothered about the satellite navigation, and would not bother about the connection to the trunk for the navigation disc, I'm just cool with the touchscreen and controls on it, I would be very glad to do away with these two boring vertically arranged LCD screens. Please help.

  3. Holla Denis, I've been on this journey for a while now just to get to you, thanx to Raistlin (Paul) and Cubist (Steve) for leading and supporting me every step of the way. I just got me an S Type 2003 without the optional navigation Screen. Since I'm in love with touchscreens, I want to know what it would take to get the OEM navigation Screen to replace the generic one in the car. I'm aware of the myriads of after market options available, but the OEM Nav Screen is my only choice. I look forward to your kind assistance.

  12. Can anybody help please? My S-Type diesel fires up first time every morning but then settles to a very lumpy idle and is not keen on revving. There are no warning lights. Produces white fumes from the exhaust which I believe are the result of unburnt diesel being ejected from the exhausts. This happens even if I switch the ignition on several times to make the golw plugs operate before firing the engine. Within 5 minutes, this settles down and the engine runs sweet as a nut. Re-starting any time afterwards after say, a few hours and it runs exactly as it should. Any ideas or info would be appreciated please.
  13. Hi Steve how much was your mats from the dealer if you don't mind me asking Cheers Denis
