  8. Hi Wayne, welcome to the forum and Jag ownership. What model do you have? I see you're from Warwickshire, there seems to be a growing number of members seeking a meet in the West Mids area - any thoughts as to a venue? Best regards, Dave

  11. Hi Steve, The Jag sounds good, are you going to post some phots? Need to keep your eye on emerging threads, whether local events or perhaps a Jaguar Factory Tour - I missed it last year, it was very successful and well subscribed. It may depend on how far you're willing travel, but there seems to be growing interest for a meet around the West Mids area? Best regards, Dave
  12. Hi Simon, Welcome to the forum, hope you get your cat sorted. Best regards, Dave
  13. i know exactly what you mean, especially when the management questions the sanity of removing wheels for a deep clean and arches too Did this last Autumn
  14. Sounds a similar scenario, I find myself using Autoglym (shampoo, clay, resin polish, wax), I try and limit the arches and engine bay to two or three times a year - as you say, takes ages, saying that, I've got a wash, rinse and wax down to an hour :D, it's just when you go into the detail the time adds up.
  15. Hi Mario, Welcome to the forum, hope you have success finding a regulator. Best regards, Dave
  16. Hi Jigs, Welcome to the forum and Jag ownership. Happy motoring. Dave
  17. I must admit the purchase of mine bordered on the spontaneous - saw the car advertised while at the barbers - went from there to view the car complete with a test drive. That afternoon organised the AA to come and complete their detailed vehicle inspection - my fate was sealed :D. On getting home from the test drive, I mentioned it to the wife, you know, run it past her, test the water....... She asked if was the shark nosed one :o, could this be an accepted path to mid-life crisis and ownership of an XK / XKR? To cut a long story short, I said I was being sensible opting for the S-Type V8, as a family car - well it does have two more doors than my previous cars! Best regards, Dave
  18. Hi Gavin, Looks awesome, bet it sounds good :D :D :D How much would a project like that cost, perhaps for an S-Type 4.2 V8? Regards, Dave
  19. Typical! I have the same problem - a lot of aricultural roads where I live. :( I like black on a car, but it is a constant battle to keep it shiny clean. What do you use for your cleaning regime? Best regards, Dave
  20. Here speaks the voice of experience, thanks for the post Alan.
  21. Mmm, why is that? It seems to happen all the time no matter the model........ :D
  22. Thanks for the heads up Geoff.
  23. Welcome to the forum, happy motoring. Best regards, Dave
  24. Hi Neil, Have a look at the attached, haven't had to do it myself but it seems straightforward enough I hope it helps, Dave
  25. HI Simon, Welcome to the club and Jag ownership. Is this your first? Best regards, Dave
