  1. May just be your battery voltage being slightly low or a bit of moisture around the coil pack area. Either way, charge the battery first and then see if it happens again.
  2. Do you have the x308 (steel version) or the x350 (aluminium version)? First place to check is the little flap in the ignition switch is closing when the key is removed. Next and most common, is the “alarm chirp sounder”. This has a rechargeable battery that leaks overtime and shorts out causing the drain.
  3. Here’s one in Holland, http://jagparts.nl/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=8313 Maybe worth a call.
  4. No problem, hopefully you can find the part you require.
  5. If you haven’t already, try this guy, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-X150-XKRS-WHEEL-NUT-BREAKING-CAR-MOST-PARTS-AVAILABLE/125055135109?_trkparms=amclksrc=ITM&aid=1110006&algo=HOMESPLICE.SIM&ao=1&asc=243356&meid=81e24b7e66ea44f0acd2593e6810f96f&pid=101224&rk=2&rkt=5&sd=123670404393&itm=125055135109&pmt=1&noa=1&pg=2047675&algv=DefaultOrganicWebV9BertRefreshRanker&brand=Jaguar&_trksid=p2047675.c101224.m-1&pageci=b46407cf-60ee-4baa-a8ab-dc0feabe9ae9&redirect=mobile
  6. A new one is £550 or you could search the breakers yards.
  7. No matter what you do, it will get worse. The only way to fix it is to replace it completely.
  8. You would be best advised to find a Jaguar independent in your area. Dealers are a definite no-no and as for Halfords, you may chance it though I certainly wouldn’t.
  9. You can also switch the valves off by simply pressing the dynamic switch though you would have the stiffer suspension at the same time.
  10. As you are in Nottingham, David Marks is the man to sort you out. Just google him.
  11. Hi Colin, My car lives under the carport, most of the time, and I have never noticed any condensation in the car as a result.
  12. You could always meet each other halfway.
  13. Hi David, My CTEK 10 goes to stage 4 fairly quickly, it will then take quite some time before it shows fully charged. You don’t say which CTEK you have but I would imagine it will be the same. The manual should give some indication.
  14. Always better to use the ground point David, here’s mine As you can see I have used the main negative ground of the battery so as not to bypass the BMS.
  15. Hi John, A little more info on the problem may help as to why you feel the need for the electronics to be rebooted. What sort of problems are you experiencing at the moment?
  16. You would be best advised to have the codes read first in order to get a way forward. My feeling though, is either a wheel sensor/ wiring fault or rusty reluctor ring.
  17. For a fully charged battery you should see 12.8v, anything less than 12.4v and your battery will start sulphating.
  18. Excellent news and thanks for the update.👍
  19. I can confirm when mine was done it took around 45 minutes.
  20. That sounds like a leak somewhere. I would recommend going to the Jag Specialist in Doncaster, they will vacuum test the system for leaks and, if all is ok, refill with the correct amount of refrigerant.
  21. Will Mister Philip know you're coming Ma'am? Oh he'll know Paddington, he'll know
  22. No rev indication on trying to start would point to the crank position sensor being at fault.
  23. Unfortunately, XF’s are prone to lock malfunctions. The most likely problem is micro switches in the lock mechanism itself at fault. Before you go paying for unnecessary parts, having the codes read would be a good idea.
  24. Your first port of call should be to fully charge the battery, if that doesn’t change things then have the codes read to see what the car is saying.
  25. This may give you a better understanding Paul. https://www.acdiagnosis.com/post/proper-auto-a-c-vent-temperature-what-temperature-should-the-a-c-blow
