  1. This may help,
  2. You have got something wrong with your car. Either a failing battery or more likely, a parasitic draw. A maintainer will only mask the problem, though still a good idea to get one.
  3. If you continue to keep your battery at between 11.9v and 12.4v then I’m afraid you will be replacing it every 2 to 3 years. At 12.4v the battery starts to sulphate and that is what strangles the life out of it. Keep the battery fully charged at 12.8v by using a maintainer and you’ll have far less problems.
  4. It lives underneath the drivers side bonnet catch. You will need to remove the trim pieces to get at it.
  5. Welcome to the forum. Ask away, I’m sure we’ll be able to help.
  6. Check the main cables from the battery and if needs be, replace them. Also check the ground points in the engine bay.
  7. You’re not likely to get an answer on a 8 year old thread. Here is a link to the ones I bought, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20x-ALLOY-WHEEL-NUTS-JAGUAR-S-TYPE-X-TYPE-CHROME-LUG-BOLT-STUD-QUALITY-20L/322551270259?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D279707e90cd84407af62051fd274c338%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D322551270259%26itm%3D322551270259%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A31c8544d-e131-11e9-8a5f-74dbd180d657|parentrq%3A731334ab16d0a4b7b67e7f6dff7a4b99|iid%3A1
  8. Have a look for the plate on the passenger side ‘B’ pillar, the code is to the right of the paint code and should be 2 letters.
  9. Try this website, www.jaguarforums.com it is a US based forum.
  10. Welcome to the forum. This is the electrical manual for your car, scroll down to page 23. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/jagxk2003.pdf
  11. Check the ground points behind the headlights and in the front wheel arch.
  12. Once bitten, forever smitten. Welcome to the forum, enjoy.🤗
  13. Though very good, the ceramic coatings are not a one time deal and forget about it, they still require maintenance. When looking at around £600 for a proper job I’d be looking at other alternatives. Wrinkly’s preferred method is a very good alternative for a car that is kept outside and used daily.
  14. Excellent news and thanks for the update.🤙
  15. Cheap fixes are always the best.🤙
  16. For your car the CTEK 7 would be ample to keep the battery healthy.
  17. Welcome to the forum, enjoy.🙂
  18. Welcome to the forum, enjoy.🙂
  19. Check to see if there is any water in the boot area first but it may be the boot wiring loom at fault. Easy fix if it is.
  20. Hi Carl, The first place will always be the battery, make sure it is fully charged. That said, XF’s do seem to have problems with door locks and once you start getting problems with them the only fix is to replace. The interior light is directly linked to the door lock mechanism and is further indication of door lock problems. A battery maintainer and a Jaguar related code reader should definitely be on your shopping list.
  21. Welcome to the forum. Get yourself a CTEK 7 or CTEK 10, simple plug and play and will keep your battery on the top line.
  22. Yeah, because they’ve never been know to be wrong , have they? The dash is definitely from the XJ8 so therefore follows it will be the 4.0L V8. Still puzzled as to the front bumper chrome.
  23. From those pictures it has a XJ6 front bumper, as it’s an XJR it would therefore be a 4.0L straight 6 engine. I would be interested to see a picture of the engine itself.
