  1. Excellent news and thanks for the update.
  2. Have a look at this website, https://wheelpcd.co.uk/fitment-guide/jaguar/

  5. Simply click on the avatar of the person you wish to message, you will see a red box with “message” written in it. Click on that, type your message and press send.
  6. Yes it is plug and play as long as you have the same number on the replacement module.
  7. The force required is equivalent to a third of that for a wheel nut. So to give you an idea, loosen a wheel nut and tighten it to 42Nm to give you an idea of how much force you need to exert on the spanner. Don't forget to retighten the wheel nut.
  8. If memory serves, 42Nm.
  9. You will need to replace the door lock mechanism on the affected door. The “door ajar switch” is sticking and causing your problems.
  10. Welcome to the forum. You should think about getting yourself a Jaguar specific code reader, it will help you immensely with problems like this.

  12. Welcome to the forum Guy, enjoy.👍
  13. Welcome to the forum blueboy. It will largely depend on your budget. The XK8 96 -05 are very affordable the later ones being the ones to get, however, rust is now beginning to consume them. The first x150’s with a 4.2L are also affordable but be wary of any that have not had the A/C “duckbill” modification done. The later x150’s with a 5L are superb cars and will put a permanent smile on your face. Have a search around the market place, narrow it down and then ask some more questions. Good luck.
  14. Welcome to the forum, enjoy.
  15. It costs nothing to try but, the fabric will already have stretched so trying to glue it back will leave a rather unsightly crease. Furthermore the glue won’t last long before it comes down again. You can actually DIY by removing the headliner completely from the car and recovering it correctly.

  18. These any good, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255319999963?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=EAIaIQobChMIzaTMg5yl9gIVCLrtCh3n7gmPEAQYBiABEgKbdPD_BwE

  20. That sounds like a ground point problem or battery related. Always check your basics first before you think of spending any money.
  21. Always good to know how you get on and if you need anymore information.🤙
  22. I would disconnect the brake light and test that you have power at the plug when the brake pedal is pushed before you go spending a lot of money on what may not be needed. It could also be a bad ground on that side.
  23. Measuring the voltage of the battery with a multimeter or plug in device gives no indication of the capacity of the battery, it merely shows the terminal voltage. A battery can quite easily show 12.8v on a meter and have very little capacity to do anything.
  24. Could well be the starter motor or solenoid sticking, a tap with a mallet may free it off. Do check that you have 12.8v on the new battery also.
  25. I would say from looking at the diagrams, one of your “door ajar switches” may be a little sticky. Fig 09.01 of this manual refers, http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Electrical/STypeElectrical/2003 MY S-Type Electrical Guide.pdf
