  1. Glad to have been of help to you, Allan.🤙
  2. Excellent news Pete and thanks for the update.🤙
  3. Hi Allan, Put the mirror in it’s driving position first. Now adjust the glass inwards. Now put your fingers into the side of the glass and simply pull. It will just pop of it’s mounting. Make sure your other hand is there to steady the glass in case it falls.
  4. As they are generally electrical problems, the first thing to do is to check your battery voltage at the terminals.
  5. Quite right John. You should be able to disconnect it to prove the theory, Pete. Just another thought, you don’t have a tracker fitted or something plugged into the OBD port, do you?
  6. This is the part number, DAC11150, you may be able to get one from eBay
  7. Not quite Pete. As soon as you reconnect the battery, the infotainment centre will flash up and that is where your 9A is coming from. You would need to wait 30 minutes for the various modules to shutdown to get a more accurate reading of any parasitic drain. The most common fault is the alarm chirp sounder internal batteries shorting out causing the drain. The sounder sits under the driver’s side bonnet hinge and is quite fiddly to get to.
  8. Hi Rod and welcome. There is no fuse. The lock is electronically controlled by the front electronic module for the cabin switches and the rear electronic module for the boot switch. Most likely cause would be a broken wire in the boot loom at the hinge point.
  9. Sorry to hear that Paul. Hopefully your Indy can get it done for you.
  10. Hi Paul, you would need to remove the wheel and the wheel arch liner also.
  11. This is the guy I use and so do many others and you certainly won’t get ripped off. https://www.google.co.uk/url?q=https://m.facebook.com/TheJagSpecialist/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiL3OWs4s6EAxV3QEEAHcw0CC4QFnoECAEQAg&usg=AOvVaw0IEVURZkbbtObrHHUX7XvG
  12. Very nice Bruce and welcome to the forum.🤙😎
  13. Hi John, that was the dash for the early s, types before the update.
  14. Hi Paul, the job is definitely a DIY job though it will be a bit fiddly. Personally, I would remove the bottle from the car so it can be throughly cleaned out. This will also give better access for the filter which will just require cleaning rather than replacement. Be mindful of any O seals that may be fitted. Dont forget to blow through the lines also.
  15. Hi Oliver, The 4.2 is a very reliable engine and at that mileage will have very little wear. The main thing to check is that all the electrics work and there is no faults. 60k the gearbox needs a oil and filter change. Check that the “duckbill” modification has been carried out for the a/c drain, if not then the passenger side carpet will get wet at some point. The valley pipes for the cooling system are a potential weak point though again, at that mileage, shouldn’t be a problem. All in all, a nice car but do ask to see as many receipts for any work carried out. Good luck.
  16. Excellent work Peter. Glad to hear all is well.🤙
  17. Hi Paul, No need to replace the blades. Pull off the pipes and try again. If you still have no water then your most likely problem will be gunge at the bottom of the washer bottle blocking the filter. You will probably end up removing the bottle to facilitate proper cleaning and it would also be prudent to blow through the pipes with compressed air, just in case.
  18. Hi Paul, If you don’t have a code reader yourself then it would be worthwhile taking it to a specialist. I would also recommend getting the battery properly checked whilst you’re there.
  19. Hi Paul, possible causes; defective pump, blockage in the line. The screenwash pump is electronically controlled so no direct fuse. Can you hear the pump when you press the button?
  20. Welcome to the forum David. Try the suggestions in this thread. First, lock the car and then manually push the mirrors into the folded position, spray some lubricant into the hinge base and then unlock the car and see what happens.
  21. Hi Anthony, 2 things spring to mind as probable causes, the alarm chirp sounder internal rechargeable batteries shorting out and the flap in the ignition barrel stuck open. Give these guys a call, very well respected specialists and where I go. https://armthorpe.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/the-jag-specialist-19357392.html
  22. When you have a blank nav screen and a 50 51 on the small green LCD screen this means the screen lost communication with the nav module which is the reader in the trunk. The module will need to be replaced but you can try disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable for about a half hour to see if it will reset.
  23. With a fully charged battery and everything switched off, it might make it. Personally, I wouldn’t risk it.
  24. Perfectly feasible John. I suspect either the wheel speed sensors or reluctor rings will require changing.
  25. Alternator needs replacing I’m afraid.
