  1. There has been cases of one of the ignition relays sticking on and therefore not allowing the car to shutdown correctly. A decent auto sparky should be able to find out for you.
  2. Definitely something wrong Alfie, the mirrors should unfold and fold with operation of both doors individually. You could try going into the vehicles settings and also using a code reader, if you haven’t already. The mirror movement is controlled by the passenger door module which in turn is fed by fuse F1 25A mini in the aux fuse box.
  3. It is the aspirator fan behind the dash that is running and making the buzzing sound. Try squirting some compressed air through the small grill in front of the indicator stalk.
  4. Here you are David and welcome to the forum. https://picclick.co.uk/Oem-Jaguar-Xk-X150-Front-Engine-Underbody-Splash-285212778101.html

  6. I have used the Lanoguard on my rear subframe and components and can confirm, it’s easy to use and covers very well indeed.
  7. Ah, ok. When you try to start is the PATS light flashing.
  8. 2 fuses to check first. Fuse F18 10A and fuse F14 10A, both in the engine management fuse box.
  9. If you think it’s voltage related then give the battery an overnight charge. If it still happens then it will be a height sensor.
  10. Far too low, should be 12.8v for a fully charged battery. Try giving the battery a charge and see what happens.
  11. My guess is a ride height sensor playing up. A code reader will confirm one way or the other. Where in Yorkshire are you?
  12. They were an option, some have some haven’t.😊
  13. This might help explain Paul. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/general-tech-help-7/jepc-jaguar-electronic-parts-catalogue-graphics-241868/
  14. They just clip in. Sometimes genuine ones appear on eBay but don’t be tempted by the cheaper versions, they don’t last long and the fit is quite loose.
  15. Find the alarm chirp sounder, under the wheel arch liner and behind the driver’s side headlight, and disconnect it. These Saunders have rechargeable batteries that degrade over time and short out causing a massive drain on the main battery.
  16. Quite possibly due to the position of it. Pretty sure the rear subframe has to be dropped to change it, so all in all, quite a big job for something relatively small.

  20. Open the passenger door and look on the “B” pillar, that’s where it normally is.
  21. That’s what your supposed to do, so no defect after all.
  22. Do you have a star shaped indent on the gear surround? Cars of your era did not have a lever to release the transmission.
  23. Ouch, https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/jaguar-s-type/supersprint-performance-sport-exhaust-jaguar-s-type-r-supercharged/front-catalytic-converter-leftbrunder-development.aspx#!/

  25. I agree though if you look at how much electronics they’ve stuffed in the wheel well, it’s understandable why there isn’t a spare. I would prefer less electronics and proper safety equipment.
