If the light cluster in question is the one on the tail gate then the most likely problem will be a broken wire in the loom at the hinge point of the tailgate.

This will definitely stop the car from starting as the ecu does not see the gearbox in Park or Neutral. Have a look at the cables on the side of the gearbox, they may need adjusting.

60k miles is the manufacturers recommended time for changing the oil and filters.

Check the ground points behind the headlights as a first port of call. They may look ok but, they corrode from the inside out, show them a spanner and they may well crumble.

Just had word back from a friend of mine, the alarm light should flash in the right hand side of the instrument cluster when it is armed. Hope this helps.

If you are trying to input a postcode or address that is newer than the disc you have, then this may be causing your problem. 2012 is the last official disc from Jaguar though there are websites that provide more up to date information.

The fuse is F12 15A in the primary junction fuse box. It may also be the pipes that are blocked or the small filter at the pump end. The bottle can also get gunged up so before you spend any money, check all the pipes are clear, the bottle and the filter.

The refrigerant is R12, there should be a label in the engine bay to tell you.

The only way is through the aftermarket satnav websites where you can find up to date discs. The last official disc from Jaguar is the one you have now, 2012.

The drivers door module supply comes in on pin 1 which is the brown wire. It is supplied from the driver’s side dash fuse panel from fuse F15 25A.

Hi John and welcome. When it happens again have a look on the dash message centre, it should tell you what the car thinks is not closed.

This will help you Alfie, as you will see the module sits above the speaker so the card will need to be removed. You may also need to programme the new module.

Hi Simon, Your only recourse is to replace it. To do so you will need to remove the bottom half of the dash to access the connector. You will also need to remove the dash surround and the securing bolt that holds it in place. The photo shows the sensor, the fan is behind that. You can actually remove the whole thing from the front though you will only get around 6 inches from the housing. You may then be able to blow air back through the fan. If that doesn’t cure it then replace it. I think they are available for around £40. This picture shows how far it comes out of the dash.

There has been cases of one of the ignition relays sticking on and therefore not allowing the car to shutdown correctly. A decent auto sparky should be able to find out for you.

Definitely something wrong Alfie, the mirrors should unfold and fold with operation of both doors individually. You could try going into the vehicles settings and also using a code reader, if you haven’t already. The mirror movement is controlled by the passenger door module which in turn is fed by fuse F1 25A mini in the aux fuse box.

It is the aspirator fan behind the dash that is running and making the buzzing sound. Try squirting some compressed air through the small grill in front of the indicator stalk.
