  1. Thank you both. I hope I can help XE owners.
  2. Hello to everyone. I am an XE owner with quite a bit of know how on how the cars work. I was on another site but got a bit fed up and left. Those that understand Latin/ Italian can convert my name on here and will know who I am. I have had an XE R Sport from nearly new in 2015 and had many of the early problems with the car. I am more than happy to help anyone who wants it and have access to much information on the cars. Please feel free to ask and I will try to help. I have already left a few replies to some people's questions on here.
  3. A warning here about topping up Adblue. If you overfill you will have warning light problems and eventually you will have a failure to start warning. I recommend that you buy a REDEX Adblue 1.87 Ltr bottle (NOT REDEX ENGINE ADDITIVES JUST ADBLUE) Fill with that and then buy a 10Ltr tub from a garage and top up the Redex bottle. That bottle has a pressure system made into the filler and once connected will only add the correct amount then stop when near full. Keep it topped up and you shouldn't have any trouble. I have gone 5 years with this method and been fine so far. Others I know let it get to warning level and the had problems.
  4. There is a plate on the right side B post (between front and rear doors) which will give you the correct tyre pressures for your wheels. If that inflation still leads to a warning then the very small battery in the TPMS sensor in the tyre has expired and you will need to have the sensor replaced.
  5. Probably just a glitch but the OBD port will show a fault code if you have a reader.
  6. Jay, the shaking is caused by the engine mounts and is a common problem.
  7. Your battery may need replacing. If you do not do much mileage the battery will not get enough charge. You could try charging the battery with a modern charger such as a CTek which will not cook the AGM battery fitted. Connect under the bonnet at the terminals on the driver side (UK) or in the boot with the +ve to the battery and -ve to a stud in the boot floor. There is no need to disconnect the battery as in the handbook. I have been topping up mine in the boot for 5 years now with no problems. I did replace my battery with a Genuine JLR 90Ah battery as I think the 80Ah fitted as standard is too feeble and since then the stop/start functions all the time within the JLR parameters.
  8. I had the same problem 3 weeks ago and my Jaguar dealer topped up the refrigerant FOC (not under warranty either) and checked for leaks.I have heard that during manufacture that the refrigerant is just enough to make it work. After 4-5 years the pressure can drop and needs regassing.
