  1. Unfortunate, but interesting. ZF 6HP 26 is it. Any codes, strange it fails to work, and then does. Battery voltage, gear selector switch, wiring issues. What was the final outcome.
  2. http://www.carid.com/2013-jaguar-xf-color-dash-kits/ http://www.amazon.com/WOW-Trim-JRXF09B-RBBCF-Jaguar-Interior/dp/B00SLMD808 I don,t know if this will help much, since it would be for Left hand drive cars, LHD and I have not checked as to how much is interchangable, between LHD adn RHD. But the colour and fiber options do look much better than the dark brown wood effect that most XF,s come in. The S Type had a nice range of wood colours what went wrong.
  3. Well if it were my battery I would take it out and put it on trickle charger while you are away. Being in and connected to the car will cause some drain on the battery and may be too low to start the car and or cause fault messages on start up. You have more chance of damaging and reducing the battery life by slowly draining it over 3 months and then trying to start the car with it. To save yourself the cost of a new battery, or the damage to the battery for sitting slowly draining over 3 months stick it on the trickle charger and it will be fully charged and ready to go when you get back, without any hassles. (one hopes) Just my two pence worth.
  4. Hi Chris, Yes, indeed it is, see AT.za & Gumtree CPT Yr, mileage, and photo all wrong! The Diesel 2.7 is also in Gumtree.za CPT, OK if you have a spare engine, and at good price. But a little too big a project for me at present. A garage is a very good idea! It's no fun in CPT, at the height of a Scottish summer. (rain) Happy (Jag,) Hunting, Bydand
  5. chrisdc, Well you saved yourself a trip to CPT? 155Km on the speedo, 2003 built and sold 2004 Someone has been at the engine recently, judging by the Silicon sealant everywhere. 4 well used plugs in the engine sill? Body: good. Inside: fair. Lots of dealer stamps in the service book. (for what it is worth?) Yes it is Black. and Yes it is still for sale. There was a guy breaking a 4.2 in JHB a few months back so parts and engines do pop up. I walked away from this one. Had a look at a 2007 Diesel 2.7 engine less today, (it's there but in bits) Light blue R30K. An interesting long term project. Jaguars in SA (ZA) are not as common or as cheap as in the UK. and a lot do have overheating problems because, Its hotter down here, People don't look after them, they are (very) expensive to fix, repair, service, unless you DIY. Happy (JAG) hunting from Cape Town. Bydand
