  1. Hi all, after leaving my battery disconnected overnight as I was waiting for the ecu’s to discharge, because of electrical gremlins, anyway, I reconnected the terminals and now it’s got the battery light illuminated with a red triangle next to it, what’s does this mean,
  2. You don’t have a heated screen ??? that’s rare or a replacement screen, which is another reason for concern, Take off the A pillar airbag covers and look at the back of them, is there a brown stain and flaky material there? also once the covers are off, look at the metal A pillar, can you see water marks. Also look at the vin number at the bottom of the screen, is it water marked,
  3. Can anyone recommend a Jaguar specialist in the Manchester area? thanks
  4. Hi all does anyone know where the infotainment module is on the XF ??? and are they plug and play? cheers craig
  5. Take both battery terminals off and leave the car for two hours (overnight is better) then touch the 2 batteryleads together, this gets rid of any left power left in the system, “DONT TOUCH THE BATTERY” only touch the battery leads together, then reconnect the battery leads and try to start the car with the smart key inserted into the slot
  6. Hi, check rear windscreen seal, the bonding agent it crap from the factory, I had my front windscreen changed due to it leaking and the fitter said he’s always doing Jaguar xf’s front and rear screens due to them leaking
  7. Hi, I had the same problem, it’s probably the windscreen leaking, On the inside of the car look where the A pillars touch the screen, you’ll see the electrodes for the heated screen poking out, there’s 4 of them, (2 each side) this is probably where waters coming in, my windscreen had 5 leaks, the way to check where water is coming in is like this, buy a half car cover, fit it and jet wash the car, if it leaks then you know it’s from the scuttle down, if it doesn’t leak then it must be from scuttle up, which can only be windscreen or sunroof thanks
