Stephen Warner

I have been led to believe that there is a 2nd voltage regulator external to the alternator casing housed one onm my 2.5 S type. I recall reading something to this effect too, but i now cant find the doument concernrd. Does anybody have any specific knowledge of this part, wher it fits and even have a part number? All reasonable suggestions cheerfully accepted.
