Hi. I am new to the club and hope I am doing this right ! I have just bought a 1989 XJS 3.6 Auto Coupe. Typical Jag, it has a few issues to sort but hopefully nothing serious. One thing I can find no infirmation on is the remote locking. It has a leather mounted key fob box about 30 x 55 mm with a single press button with Jaguar logo. In the car is a small light in the bottom RH corner of the windscreen . Is this just lock & alarm or is it also an imobiliser. How can I check if it is fully functional. Be glad of any info. Another issue with the car is that the drains which run from the roof at the front and down behind the chrome A pillar covers, have been sealed off. What effect is this likely to have. ? Can the covers be easily removed to clear these drains. Would this be a wise move ? Looking forward to your comments.
