  2. Steve Even with a new battery the use of a CTEK MS 7 charger/re-condition can save you a lot of problems in the future. I swear by mine, as do many others on this forum. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  3. Welcome to the club/forum. Regards and Best Wishes, John
  4. There is a WD 40 Silicone spray available. Regards, John
  5. Is the battery good as you say. S-Types are notorious with battery drain, with the very cold weather added into the equation it could in fact be that the battery is not good. Regards, John
  6. As Joe has posted. P1000 is a manufacturer installed Code that will, once all codes corrected, disappear on driving the vehicle. Regards, John
  7. Barry Jaguars are battery thirsty (especially I find my S-Type was). I cured the problem by investing in a CTEK MS 7 Battery Charger / Re-conditioner . Use mine at least once per month and for at least 24 hours at a time. Marvellous machine which I use successfully Summer and Winter. Many people on this Forum find it a worthwhile investment for keeping a good battery in excellent condition. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  8. Welcome to the Forum/Club and the wonderful world of Jaguar. Regards, John
  9. Barry you could consult Jaguar Heritage who would confirm your full specification, by the Vin No: you give them. Another few ways of knowing the Sport Model (which I have ) is you will have two tone leather interior, you will have a different coloured grill insert, the will be no wood veneer inside the car. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  10. Phillip I feel we must be certain that like for like must be taken into account when considering cost of any item. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  11. James I feel one must know what make of discs and pads are used before serious comment can be made on value for money. £130 for pads, discs and fitting certainly sound very cheap to me. Best Wishes and Regards, John
