  1. Jason Great cars and great times. I am now 72 years and enjoy a more comfortable and slightly slower way of life and travel. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  2. Jason You can always email Heritage Jaguar for this sort of information. They have all old files and will search to a criteria you request. I have used them and it works fairly quickly and is very informative. It will obviously cost you, but the information will be correct. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  3. UPDATE: Problem solved and repaired. Rear o/s wheel speed sensor. Small cheap part .... caused big problem. Regards, John
  4. Frank, I am just a mere child at 72 years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards John Pure
  5. Tom Re-set document here: Regards, John
  6. Does car have regular oil and filter changes? Regards, John
  7. Mint (produced by Foxes Sweets)
  8. Craig Certainly not an unusual problem for S-Types and in fact other models of Jaguar. However S-Types appear to be the most prone to the battery problems. I use a CTEX MXS 7.0 Charger/Re-conditioner on my S-Type regularly. Usually at least once per week and for a period of at least 24 hours. Keeps the fault codes to a manageable level. Well worthwhile piece of equipment to invest in and used by many owners on this Forum. There is a Full Re-Set Schedule listed on this Forum. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  9. Tom Nothing sounds particularly new in your submission. There are many references to similar stories on this Forum. Sounds a more frequent complaint about Jaguar Dealers. Good Luck with your independent specialist. Certainly a route that is often a better bet.Best Wishes and Regards, John
  10. My 17 years old S-Type has an annual oil change with Castrol Edge. I t does about 5000 mile per year and never uses a drop of oil between the annual service. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  11. Jaguars are prone to batteries discharging if left for any length o time , possibly parasitic discharge. S-Type appear to be particularly prone to the problem. My S-Types keeps well by using a CTEK MS 7 charger / re-conditioner at least once a week and for a minimum of 12 hours. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  12. It appears that Jaguar have a unique manner, they do not recognise customer service in my opinion. I have the feeling that Jaguar do not even recognise that they produced the model that I own. Independent Jaguar Specialist are a better bet. Good luck and Best Wishes, Regards, John
  13. Joe No never sold it, seems nobody wanted to buy it. Still sat in a corner of the dinning room. I could never figure out how the hell to use it, so bought an iCarsoft PRO, of which I am nowhere near at a level of learner in understanding how to use it. Cheers, John
  14. Causes troubles with most Jaguars, especially S-Types. Cheers, John
  15. Pete Black is probably about the worst colour (well technically Black is a shade and not a colour) to keep looking good. Be careful with cutting compounds and polishing machines, if you are not experienced with using both. Good Luck, Best Wishes and Regards, John.
  16. Joe Many thanks for the information. I thought (obviously wrongly) that once a code had been raised that it stayed there in the memory until it was erased manually, via the OBD2 connection. I always carry a hand reader but do not make a point of carrying my iCarsoft PRO, maybe I should carry the iCarsoft as well. Best Wishes and Regards, John
