  1. It is possible that a hard reset by disconnecting the battery may in fact produce some other codes and warnings. S-Types are even more particular than other Jaguar models for suffering from Parasitic Discharge. There is a Re-Set procedure set out for the S-Type after Battery disconnection. It is at the beginning of S-Type Section. Best Wishes and Good Luck. Regards, John
  2. James There are videos on YouTube on this subject. How affective they I do not know but may be of some help. Have put a sample link below, there are others. Best Wishes , John
  3. Unfortunately I have no photos back as far as yours go. I only have from the days of Nissan Skylines, 200SX and Primera eGT that I once owned . Best Wishes, John
  4. Mario That is not exactly extravagant to my mind. It does depend on make and specification of tyre and discs you had fitted. Regards, John
  5. Sounds like a rather extravagant amount of money for exhaust clamps, are they Gold Plated ?????? Regards, John
  6. Mike When young (am now 72) and a real "Jack the lad" at 18 I bought two jags. A XK120 convertible which was an absolute rust bucket but it did run and drive. Sold it in three days and made a great profit of £250 . Also bought a Mk 1 which was in fairly good order. It was a metallic dark blue with cream leather interior. Kept for about two weeks and sold it making £450 profit. My mother (bless her) was not at all pleased and "suggested" (being polite) that I bought no further junk and brought it home. I wish I still had them two cars now, but suspect that they have gone to their resting place.
  7. Jim Welcome to the club/forum. My goodness you certainly had your share of XJ6s. Fifty One cars in sixteen years could possibly be classed as an obsession to Jaguars. Good luck with your S-Type and keep the battery regularly and well charged, to avoid electrical and numerous warnings cropping up. I use a CTEK MS 7 with my S-Type and have it on charge at least once a week for at least 24 hours. I learnt by experience that it was the safest way of avoiding many false and misleading readings and warnings. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  8. Phillip Loads of them here https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1311&_nkw=xf+jaguar+front+door+seal+rubber&_sacat=0Cheers, John
  9. Phillip Try this link https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/hierarchy/id/C68.C6884.C6884388/brand/jaguar/ Best Wishes and Regards, John
  10. Tim Think you have said it all about Jaguar. Best Wishes, John
  11. Patrick Welcome to the club/forum. Fuse locations are usually listed in your handbook. If not then plenty of diagrams on the internet showing fuse layout plans. www.jaguar.com is also a very very useful source of information by particular car model. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  12. Gary Jaguar Heritage would probably be able to tell you exactly . Cheers, John
  13. Tim You need to invest in a CTEX MS 7 or MS 10 battery charger/restorer and keep your battery well charged at all times. My S Type goes on charge at least once a week for at least 24 hours. Jaguar are prone to Parasitic Discharge and will cause many faults and problems if not kept on a high charge, Best Wishes and Regards, John
  14. That is probably why it is successful and profitable to be a Jaguar Dealer . Regards, John
  15. NOT really how I would expect a private seller to respond to this statement. Consideration to removing the post should be made. Unless the status can be proved otherwise. Regards, John
