Tim You need to invest in a CTEX MS 7 or MS 10 battery charger/restorer and keep your battery well charged at all times. My S Type goes on charge at least once a week for at least 24 hours. Jaguar are prone to Parasitic Discharge and will cause many faults and problems if not kept on a high charge, Best Wishes and Regards, John

Charles I bought a MS 7 because it can also be used as a tender to start a flat battery. I believe the MS 10 also has the same ability but is dearer than the MS 10. I also bought an adapter (again from CTEK) to install in the boot of my S-Type so as I do not need to keep connecting the CTEK to the battery. The battery connections are left permanently in place. CTEX have a good video on their own website and all of the products are listed and priced as well. No, you do not need to remove the battery. With the adapter CTEK have available it literally takes two minutes to connect and have the battery on charge. Well worth the investment in my opinion. Best Wishes and Regards, John
