Interesting that you eliminated the X Type on the basis of no four wheel drive, as there is a four wheel drive model.
Also that you decided on eliminating so much on the S-Type range.
I do wonder if you have read much of this forum, because if you have you would have found many submissions on virtually all Jaguar models where owners get problems with all models of Jaguar.
Being an S-Type owner I am well aware of how they produce many fault codes. A fairly high percentage of codes often eventually relate back to low battery charge being low. The S-Type is renown for being heavy on battery discharge when not used regularly over a good distance.
You would be well advised to invest in a decent Jaguar OBD2 fault reader and a QTEK battery charger/conditioner. That applying to most models but particularly in respect of battery charge for the S-Type.
By the way I love my 2005 Facelift 2.5V6 Petrol auto with 65,000 miles, very much, despite the challenges it can regularly present.
