  1. Have never owned a Dash Camera, so therefore never used one either. Pleased to receive recommendations on what to buy for use in my 2005 S Type. Feel I should invest in one with how often their footage is used these days as proof in accident claims et c. Will be wanting something that is comprehensive (whatever that is in a Dash Cam), but at the same time easy to understand and use. Many Thanks and Best Wishes, Regards, John
  2. Welcome
  3. I did check for later rules/regulations but as far as I can find there are non and this is the latest that is referred to in my submission. I to can now see at night having upgraded my bulbs with RING Xenon 200 bulbs (which meet legal requirements) and along with making certain the headlamps were adjusted correctly made one heck of a difference. Just for info, my eyes are 72 years young and are tested annually. 4. Geoff, It is listed on here : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174076186929?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1oiZhtgYlQ-yOujg_tdYI9A56&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=174076186929&targetid=1596500855429&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=1007025&poi=&campaignid=15278604175&mkgroupid=135429446288&rlsatarget=pla-1596500855429&abcId=9300698&merchantid=114945515&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3onVw6jK9gIVgmDmCh1kCAR1EAQYBCABEgLaP_D_BwE
  5. Tony, It might be a good idea so as mistakes are not made, that you do read the whole of the thread and the appropriate dates on this matter of law. The fact that your car passed its MOT, is not unusual, but most MOT inspectors are aware of the law and can rightfully fail relevant cars. Class 3,4,5 and 7 vehicles For class 3,4,5 and 7 vehicles, the defect ‘Light source and lamp not compatible’ only applies to vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986. Should a vehicle be presented for an MOT test with conversions before 1 April 1986 they must not be failed with immediate effect. Vehicles presented with converted halogen headlamp units first used on or after 1 April 1986 will continue to be failed. Headlamps must comply with all other requirements of the test and headlamp aim. The cars and passenger vehicles inspection manual will be updated shortly. Regards and Best Wishes , John
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304386850718?hash=item46dedebf9e:g:DuIAAOSwIuxiH0aR Hope this may help. I believe I am correct in saying there is nothing later that 2011/2012 available. Regards, John
  7. I bought one of these pens. They seem to work quite accurately. I have compared its reading and judgement of the condition of my Hydraulic Brake Fluid v using a Multimeter reading to judge the condition (water content) and have had the same result from both ways of measuring. Admittedly the reading is very good with well under the acceptable level of water content, but I have not tested any brake fluid that is below an accepted level. Mainly because I have non, thankfully. Regards and Best Wishes, John
