  2. Hi, a few months ago i bought my first Jaguar. a dark green 10 year old X type with 70,000 miles on the clock. so far i feel as though its the best car i've ever owned. i've changed the oil and filters and sprayed white lithium grease in the door locks to make them open without having to fight them, a common fault so i'm told, also i've put a cd player in it since i don't own any tapes and the radio wasn't that good. I love the sound of the V6 and the smooth ride but has anyone noticed that you get the same reception from everywhere you go. either i'm told its just a mondeo in drag or its an old mans car. i have to admit i'm 37 years old and yet to see anyone else driving one who is younger than me. i'm getting a tad obsessed by it to be honest so if you have a jag and your younger than 37 please get in touch. it'd make my day. how is the jag not the perfect car though. not expensive to buy, cheaper than a mondeo to insure (how does that work?) not as bad on fuel as i was expecting returning around 25mpg. i'm guessing it'll be half decent in snow being 4 wheel drive. the kids love it and being picked up from school in a Jag is definately a bonus. why does anyone ever buy anything else? (Still not parting with my classic Mini Cooper)
