  1. Some pictures, location, price and description would be helpful!
  2. Welcome aboard!
  3. Bicarbonate of soda and hot water to get rid. Treat and paint the metal with rust treatment paint and a resin based primer then fit a battery that doesn't leak! Sounds very like you need a new battery!
  4. Salad (There's only one thing worse than a sad Irish Ballad, that's a bad Irish salad)
  5. I was over that way this evening going to the Corn Exchange in Lynn, if you saw and heard a blue S Type with J reg plates, that was me. Normally i lurk next door to Top Gun in Lakenheath though.
  6. Welcome aboard James! You're not far from me i think as i'm in Suffolk but also close to the Norfolk/Cambs/Suffolk border! Enjoy your XF!
  7. Not sure on the XKR but fairly certain on the S Type that one ABS sensor also doubles as the speed sensor. If that's the case, there is an intermittent fault somewhere on that sensor or that circuit. I might be wrong on this so double check your wiring diagram but it seems too much of a coincidence that both the speedo and ABS throw a fault at the same time. Also the PCM usually gets a speed signal from somewhere to tell it about the road speed/engine load etc to determine what gear it should be in so again, this points to one common component - whether that's an ABS sensor or what, i can't say but i know someone had a very similar fault with an S Type not long back and that was (i believe) an ABS sensor OSR if memory serves but might be wrong, been asleep since then!
  8. I don't know about discount codes but can recommend Adamesh. Bought a pair of stainless back boxes for my S Type last year, took about 3 months before i found the time to fit them only to find i'd been mistakenly sent a pair of S Type R boxes by mistake. They sent the correct boxes through and then collected the wrong ones a few days later once i'd fitted the right ones and packed the wrong ones into the box. Very pleasant to deal with, no problems at all on doing the swap, excellent all round. If you're paying via Paypal, you could sign up for honey.com, it finds and applies discount codes to many online purchases so you may be lucky........
