I wonder if anyone has ever thought of questioning the legality of these humps. Could it not be argued that they are specifically designed to damage vehicles that are being legally driven? If this could be maintained then it would follow that councils refusing to remove them, in addition to being liable at civil law for any damage to vehicles being driven within the speed limit, would also be guilty of criminal damage. What does anybody think?
I only named my first car, a very early Triumph 2000, whom I called Isabella (don't ask me why), but I've been trying to think of a fitting name for the Jag. So far she's usually referred to as "The Cat".
Hi Adam Thank you for the reply. As far as I know there isn't a Haynes manual for the S-type but I think I'll buy a manual in CD-ROM form - I've seen several on e-bay. It's quite possible that none of the door trim has to come out - its one of those simple-seeming jobs which could result in breaking something, so I wanted to see if anyone else had done it before I went ahead. BarryS (sorry it's an awkward-looking name but there's already a "Barry" listed !)
I need to replace a passenger-side window switch on my 2003 S-type. Can anyone tell me how to get the switch out without damaging any part of the door trim?
