  1. Thank you, that is very helpful. When I put mine on the diagnostic it tells me there are corroded circuits or something like that, Haven't checked it for a while . But I will look at what you say and see where it goes from there.
  2. I know that's what it is supposed to do , but this one is doing it at the same time.? I can get the air con on the passengers side to blow hot or cold but on the drivers side only hot all the time and it is very hot. You can set the controls for low but only the passengers side will go Low. drivers side will always be hot. It blows through the various vents all of them . When you ask for it to blow up top or down at feet and everything in between it will do that, you can hear the motor turning and things moving , so that side of it seems to be working . even without the aircon on there still seems to be a lot of heat on the drivers side. Any help would be much appreciated. please don't tell me I have to remove the whole dashboard. I just couldn't face that .
  3. I have a 2007 2.7 diesel s type. I can get the full range of air con temps on the passenger side but only hot on the driver side. Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. My apologies for not answering your question. I decided to just leave it at the time and of course now that its getting warmer I am regretting that decision lol. I will update on this if I get it done this year. Using the car a lot less at the moment so I can do most journeys with an open window.
  5. Thank you Trevor for finding this out. I was thinking that it probably had more to do with my inept computer skills. I did find it and am just about to attach an update to it. Many thanks and my sincerest apologies for casting any doubt as to the running of this page
  6. I shall do. don't think my car will meet their emissions though.
  7. I posted a thread a day or so ago with the details of my park brake issues. It was there, I read it, it was fairly understandable, I was pleased. I became even more pleased when I noticed I had a couple of answers, but sadly I was too busy at the time to read them . "Its ok" I thought, " they will still be there later, they won't just disapear" But they have and not only the replies (thank you who ever took the time to answer) but also the thread!!! Its like a day has just dropped out of my life and I fear I may be imagining it. I have searched everywhere, I have looked in posts I started , i have looked in latest posts, I have looked by subject, I have looked in forums, I have even looked down the loo in case they fell in there. But , alas I have had no success in finding any of it. My posts from a year ago, they are there, my post from a day ago have disappeared . Maybe the pixies did it, or the hobgoblins did it for a laugh , but please Mr Forum Wizard can you track them down and tell me how to find them Your ever humble servant Gordon with the missing thread !!!
  8. This car I recently got I was underneath it changing the oil or rather the gunge and I reckon this car has been kept in a dry garage for most of its life. Subframes still have factory paint on them , barely any rust to be seen anywhere on the car. Just thought I would boast about it because I am a bit of a prick that way.
  9. Thanks for the answers guys. Getting the code from Jaguar got everything working. Parking sensors are still not working at the rear , but I will get round to it .
  10. Battery is quite new and fully charged
  11. I have the above fault codes reading out on my diagnostic machine. They all relate to " Circuit Defective" . for the servomotor and air recirculation flaps. Can anyone tell me is this a circuit board issue, a wiring issue or something else. Any information on where I might need to look as well would be handy. just trying to save myself some time if someone has already had to fix something similar. cheers Gordon
  12. A few minor niggles to sort out any advice much appreciated. Put it in reverse and you get one long beep which then stops and nothing else happens. cant get use of the sat nav or radio functions though I can still use it to control the heating / air con. Doesn't show any faults but when I do the manual checks the soft buttons test gives me numbers and lines ( should be a picture attached ) . My suspicions lead me to a replacement screen and module as they seem to be at the centre of everything, but not getting any real information from it as to what is faulting I would appreciate anyone who has knowledge of these faults giving me the benefit of their knowledge. Do you think doing an update would help or be a waste of time just now?
  13. I have tried that , but it doesnt do anything I am afraid .
  14. Can anyone tell me what this relates to ?
  15. it still has power going to it, screen lights up and can use it to adjust climate , but wont let me do anything else
