  1. Thanks for he thoughts and advice, I'm still thinking about it, but there is a drain plug and a level screw that can be used to gauge the right amount has been put in. There are no issues with the auto transmission at present so I might just go for checking the level and topping it up if necessary. Then there is the question of what ATF fluid to use- I've seen somewhere that there are two types - one for earlier boxes and one for later models ...... so is mine an earlier or later box on a 2005 car? Any ideas? Thanks.
  2. Good morning folks. Could anyone tell me how often the Auto Gearbox fluid should be changed? My car has REALLY low miles - it has only done just over 25,000 miles now. I wanted to know if it will need changing - and how difficult it is to do that. Although it is only low mileage, the fluid in the auto box is now 20 years old. Many thanks for any advice and help.
  3. Good evening, Any recommendations for a decent, breathable, cover for my Jag - thinking of the winter weather..... I only use the car infrequently, and thought it'd be a good idea to protect it - has anone any recommendations/ brands/ suppliers that they have used? Thanks for any help on this one. Geoff
  4. Hi - I can get the plastic clips, but does anyone know where you can get the short metal struts/brackets that go between the plastic skirt/trim that runs down the side below the sills, and the car body? Mine have rusted through, and I need a new set. Alternatively does anyone have a drawing/dimensions of the brackets & I can get some made? Thanks, Geoff
  5. Good afternoon - newbie from Oldham here - just to introduce myself. I've just acquired a 2005 2.5 XS LE AWD automatic saloon from my mate who has hardly used it over the last 6 years, so it's only done 17,500 miles since new with him and one previous owner...... I had a 2.0 manual diesel X type saloon a few years ago and loved it.
