Hi all, found an ACM for my X Type for a good price. Was wondering if it's possible that one of those ipod bluetooth adapters would work with it? Ah the entry exit stuff isn't a thing on the X, nor is the electric steering column adjustment - thinking I maybe imagined the seat moving when I got out ha In regards to the speaker issue, I tried unplugging all the cables and replugging as I found on here as a suggestion to no avail. So I tried out an amp I picked up for £60, nope same deal. So I moved onto taking door cards off and broke some clips in the process 🙃. Turns out yep, speakers blown. So I need to see if they can be fixed or replace them. In other news, I've took the car over its first 1000 miles since coming into my care and she's not missed a beat! We've renamed her to Judy but stuck with Jaggy Chan as her nickname. I think Judy is gonna stay with me for a long, long time. Genuinely love this car and whatever it needs, it'll be lavished with it.

Did you ever get this fixed? I've found the same issue with my X Type. Right side speakers door speakers don't work but the tweeters do.

Hi Jay and welcome! Check underneath the car for rust on the sills, wheel arches etc. People say 06 and beyond they fixed the rust issue, but I've seen 08s with rust. You wanna listen out for injector knock too and smoke upon acceleration. You have those, you've likely got stuffed injectors that cost a fair bit to sort. If the injectors aren't knocking, but it's kicking out smoke upon acceleration could be a bunged up DPF or EGR valve. Check the clutch is OK, you don't want knocking/rattling when you start the car or shut it off. That's typically a smypton of the DMF going, which in turn usually means your clutch is about done for too. That's the best part of a grand to sort out. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, do your usual checks of the electrics ie mirrors, windows, lights etc. Hope it's a good 'un and you can get the car! What spec is it?

Looking at Euro Car Parts and I see there's two different clutch kits available - a LUK kit and a Transmech Kit. Which of those would be right for my car, being the 2.2D and do either of those come with the DMF, or do I have to source that separately? Looking into getting it changed at the end of the month, so if anyone could point me in the right direction for parts and fitting at reasonable prices, I'll be a happy lad. I'm based in the North East, but I'm in the West Midlands area once a week for work. Thanks in advance, Jamie

Hi all My drivers side door speaker has stopped working. The tweeter appears to be still working, along with the rest of the speakers in the car. It's the premium Alpine sound system. I'd read unplugging the main connector from the amp and replugging it back in may solve this. Whereabouts is the amp located in the boot?

Figured it out! I transferred the contacts from my Google account to my phone and voila! Previous owners contacts cleared on the car and now mine are synced up

Little bit stumped, had to Google how to pair my phone to the car which I've now done successfully! However, the previous owners contacts etc still are showing up, whereas mine aren't - how do I clear this and then sync mine to the car?

Is there any Jaguar Owners Club Merchandise like window stickers, keyrings etc?

It's an absolute joy to drive, it'll make my motorway commutes a lot more comfortable thats for sure 🙂 I have a question or two: Q1) Regarding the memory seats, are they supposed to drop and move back when you exit the vehicle? Mine stays where I set the position to - no big deal if this is how its supposed to be 🙂 Q2) Was driving a long today and noticed my right side speakers in the car stopped working 😞 What am I to look for? It's the premium Alpine system and would love to keep it genuine
