  1. Hi all I'm Colin, and drive a 2014 XFS Portfolio. 6 weeks ago the car unlocked okay but wouldn't start, a warning popped up "Steering Column Locked." So stuck on driveway for days while I waited for a fork lift remote bogey recovery truck. I sent it to GDP independent Jaguar specialist in Thame who emailed me today to advise he's sorted it, don't know if he simply had to reprogram the CJB and BCM modules or replace the steering column lock module. This issue is common on Jaguars it seems but no information on how to fix it on Google or Jaguar forums. On some posts owners couldn't sort the issue and had to scrap the car. The cost is around £1500
  2. Thanks John no water issue, resolved that one 2 years ago, new JCB and Windscreen washer bottle. I suspect it's one of the modules that feed in to the ECU to allow start, Body Control Module, Steering Column Lock control module, brake pedal switch, push button start module. Problem is it's stick on my drive and RAC recovery truck can't recover it and I'm sure there is no mobile auto electrician who'd have a clue how to diagnose/fix it.
  3. I've the same problem on my XF. The issue is either a faulty brake pedal switch or the Steering column lock module or body control module needs replacing and reprogramming as all three need to be in communication, so it's a job for a Jaguar stealer service department as most garages would have a clue and are unable to reprogram or program modules
  4. Can anyone advise how to overcome steering column locked warning, can't start car
  5. Just wondering if anyone in the owners club has any idea why Jaguar design team placed the Air-conditioning low pressure charging point in the stupidest place imaginable inside/ below the LHS wheel arch? It’s !Removed! difficult to reach or connect the charging hose without putting the car on a ramp and it’s right in the path of water/salt/ debris thrown up off the tyre
