Hi. I wrote previously about a rubling noise from my X TYPE 2ltr diesel at tickover. Found out what it is. The aux belt pully is not up to the job, puts pressure on the tensioner arm causing the noise. This happens on a regular basis to this engine no matter what vehicle it is fitted to. If you fit a standard pully, belts and tensioner the noise will re-appear within a year. Upgraded pully kits are available from e-bay - look for 'Genuine Jaguar'. Around £200 quid I am afraid.
