  1. Thought I'd better say hi . I've not long bought a 2016 XF portfolio that also had a lot of options fitted to it including large incontrol pro screen, full LCD drivers display, some fancy brown leather seats that are heated all round and cooled in the front., HUD (I love this) and heated steering I did have a ford X type Jag about 5 years before, great car but needed more space. XF is high(🤷🏻‍♂️) mileage 111,000 when I bought it, now 114,000 . Cam chain kit done just before purchase. No major issues, had a full service by a friends garage and underneath fully checked. Also had coolant flush and changed and Gearbox flushed and serviced - for peace of mind and so I have a baseline to work from. Fitted a new battery as (a) I had no idea how old it was and (B) When It was cold and under a lot of electrical load first thing when the car was cold, it stalled out.(As soon as the heated screens, seat, steering wheel and hi defrost tuned off it was fine)and I've not had a problem since. Niggly jibs to do is a drivers door rattle when closing or being enthusiastic with the music suspect it's the foam insulation on the cables, and not being able to sign into the navigation, although it works and my incontrol pro app records journeys etc (bought the two year deal after the free month) but I'm in frustratingly slow chat with jaguar help for this, but now they want to see my logbook again (even though it was all changed after I took it to a main stealer and I have an active account set up.
  2. Personally I think ist a case by case situation. How you feeling about the car, you confidence in the car dealer (yes I know that's asking a lot lol, but they are not all bad). Have you taken it out for a long test drive? Have you discussed your apprehensions with the dealer? (He may give you a longer warranty or you can use it negotiate a better price) It definitely low milage. I had apprehensions about buying my 2016 XF.....The dealer seemed very nice and there was no pressure. I sent a couple of hours going over everything. I bought it with 111,000 on it ....it's since had a full service by a friend I have who has his own garage business, and I've also had the transmission serviced (with an oil flush as well) and I've already done over 2000miles of trouble free, luxury motoring in it, so I'm now beginning to relax and enjoy it because the car I sold previously,I'd had for four and a half years of trouble free motoring with just a yearly service and tyres (I needed an automatic)....I think a lot of it comes down to doing your own due diligence, which you seem to be doing....and the rest is just down to a gut feeling. The rest is in the hands of the gods lol. Good luck
  3. Following...... nobody offering any help?
  4. Did you ever get any further with this issue of updating the incontrol pro infotainment software? I know mine needs doing as well in my new to me 2016 XF (x260)
  5. I'm still talking via messenger to Jag customer support as I can't progress with my navigation extras and updates as the car won't let me.log on to my account, and the jaguar routs app lets me log on,.enter my VIN, and then wants me.to.log in in the car 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ What I will say to some of the comments regarding purchasing a SIM card . It's not needed for the jaguar remote apps (mine sees the car, the details etc and lets me remote start the car and this is because the Jag system has a built in SIM card for this. As for the satnav requiring a SIM card in the slot under the armrest, all you need to do is have a hotspot set up on your phone for the car to log onto ,it will then use your phones signal and data. My car is a 2016 XF portfolio with incontrol pro (10" center screen no physical buttons around it)
