We find it very hard to believe but the Jaguar/Land Rover Franchised Dealer in our town refuses take in any Jaguar model over 10 years old for service. They issue the excuse that when they took over the multiple franchises (Audi, Bentley, Ferrari etc) they changed computer systems and have no information on these models. I'm retired from the Car Business and I can't believe that the Manufacturer would condone this! I presume this doesn't happen in Jolly Old?

2001 XK8 convertible Bag light glows constantly 2001 XK8 convertible Near me in California, not any Jag experts. My air bag light doesn't go off. Looking for ideas to diagnose usual routine problems these cars have with that issue. Looked under seats' for loose wiring, Moved Driver's seat up, down. So far, nothing. Any advice, comments welcome, I need to get this fixed ASAP. Thanks, Norm

Re: 2001 XK8. My headlight Low Beams (High Beams OK) are too dim. I want to install high powered LED or XENON Hi Intensity bulbs. I am told that Jaguar headlights are not necessarily wired the same as the average USA vehicle, i.e., some bulbs my need some kind of ancillary device to make them work. Not interested in that kind of modification Just want a plug and play bulb for the Low Beam lights. Do any of you guys know of a brand or style of LED that will work? Appreciate any info or experiences that you know of in this matter. Thank you. Norm in California.

Being in the United States, don't know if this info is of any use over there. A company called HARBOR FREIGHT sells a small, approx 12" x 4" solar panel which I have permanently mounted on the bumper of my motor home attached to the underhood battery. it's been keeping the battery up for the 9 years I've owned the 2017 camper. its cost is only $14.95 when not on special sale. Not suggesting I'm going to mount one permanently on my XK8 but I am going to buy other one for the Jag. PayPal me and I can ship one to you.

Hi Bob: I was just going to ask the exact same question as you did. Did you get any answers? Going to check if the trans is "sealed for life" == don't see anywhere in the Owner's Manual where it's referenced. Pip Pip!

I want a 2001 Owners Handbook/Manual for XK8 I see many ebay and other ads for these books inferring that years 2000 2001 2002 are all the same. Is that a fact or should I hold out for the specific 2001 manual?
