The XF has 2 batteries factory fitted. One large battery and one small (I think 9v) battery. They both require changing for new ones. The car has not been used for 2 months as it will not start. The large battery is easy to replace but I have found it impossible to get the small 9v battery. Somebody told me that in 2015 Jaguar stopped fitting the small battery but unsure if this is true. I emailed the main Jaguar dealer here in Spain who supplied the car and they simply replied with a price for the large battery and no mention of the smaller one. I replied saying I needed the smaller one as well and they have never replied! Is there anybody with the knowledge to advise me how I solve this problem? Does the car actually require the smaller battery and will work OK without it? Thanks and grateful for any help.
