I use them all the time for my 2001 XKR. Can't fault them and they really know their way around Jags.

Hi all, I will be in Ringwood until 6th Sept and wondered if there are any meetings in the area during this time?

Does anyone go to the Jaguar Breakfast Club meetings at Gaydon (first Saturday of each month)?
-
I have rented a lock up to store my XKR, otherwise it would be on the road all the time. Upside is its roomy. Downside its a 25 minute walk or need jump leads if left for too long. I suspect my garage at home may be too small, its certainly full of stuff I may never need (ie pushbike, cement mixer and boxes of stuff from a previous life!

Jaguar Owners Club West Midlands meet 19th September.

I certainly enjoyed myself on Saturday, and was so relieved to be able to bring my purring, sometimes growling beast! Very good company overall, and a really nice day. Well done Peter for stepping into Paul's shoes, and Paul - I hope all goes well for you both. I took one or two photos, and will post them when I can (a) find the lead to connect camera to laptop, or (b) get a card reader of my own rather than 'borrowing' one from work! Hope to see you all (and more people besides) in the coming months. -
Hi Ian, and welcome! As an XKR (2001) owner, I would be interested in seeing any pictures you have of your problem, and following how you get on with your restoration. If you can find the time to post some...? Regards Steve

UK South East Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet 29th May 2016
pablojag1 replied to SteveSheldon's topic in Jaguar Owners Lounge
Hi Steve, Count me in please, from Pease Pottage, with my XKR (2001) and a passenger - not sure who yet but I think my son enjoyed this year's trip, so he may join us again. Yesterday I joined Old Peter and Others (11 cars in total) at Gaydon Heritage Museum for a West Midlands meet. Some of us were a little disappointed at the relatively low turnout compared to promises beforehand, but nevertheless a good day out. Pics are still in the camera but will post one or two when they find their way into my laptop! Can you remind me again why there is no longer a bi-annual event in the south-east? Best wishes to all, Steve (Pablojag1) -

Dear All, I may be unable to bring my XKR as it failed MOT yesterday. Most issues dealt with already, but my garage need to sort the airbag fault - not easy! I will come along but maybe in a VW - here's a photo to be going on with ... -
Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet Dec 7th

Hi Steve Please count me in again! Joined you in the summer, most enjoyable until my XKR was involved in a small RTC on the way home. I should be a 1+1 Regards Steve (Pablojag1) -
Okay - well, I am still keen even if only the 4 of us! Tied up 20 - 25 Aug but otherwise anytime will do. Steve

If anyone has an answer to this one, it might help my dad. He has a Saab 9-5 (Y reg) that had the same, but was told it would cost him £500 in stripping out the fascia before any fault could be identified. As it happens, it seems to have righted itself since but if the problem recurs ....

Hi Kenny, I see that there have been no posts since June - are we still at 4 cars?? Can't believe that to be honest. Steve

Ken, I can't believe you've only got 4 interested! C'mon guys, anyone else out there???

Jaguar Owners Club West Midlands meet 19th September.

Well I am up for that - dates I am committed elsewhere are 9, 10, 16 & 17 July and 20 - 27 August, flexible otherwise. Not sure which factory is best? Presumably their technology centre is out of the question as well? -

Hi Guys I will join you - XKR x-reg -
Ken33y, living just south of Brummiger-land as I do, Brecon area would be great for me. I will gladly join any meet there - other engagements permitting of course.
-
Having said 'yes', how would I have added my name to the list? (dummy when it comes to things electronic)
-
OK you can count me in too! Brecon Beacons - a great place to drive. Trouble is my summer is starting to fill up a bit.

Was going to make a suggestion but was beaten to it by Graham669! Have since been to Rob at Northfield and fully endorse the recommendation - I have recently learned they do bodywork as well as mechanicals .. :)

Hi to you all in the Midlands. I haven't been very active lately (mostly down to losing the link to this website/forum; but did go down to Steve Sheldon's meet in Brighton last bank holiday. It was good with at least 50 cars attending! Sadly though I had a prang after, some idiot tried to turn left through me on a roundabout - a real damper but hope to have the car back next week. More to the point I would be interested in a Midlands meet - I went to one at Gaydon, must have been 2013 and enjoyed it. Does anyone have any contacts at the Jaguar factories, who could blag a visit? Just a thought ... BTW Old Peter if you see this i still have your prize from that meet over near Derby - I no longer have direct cause to drive up to Sutton but a mate lives in Burton so could swing by if I go visit.

Hi Trevor, One result of buying a nearly new XKR is the shift from being "one of the nearly dead" to "one of the grateful dead" ?? Enjoy!

Hi Guys I also enjoyed the day, and reckon the Jaguar presence was far better than all the others put together! it was particularly good to swap notes with other XKR owners ... Peter - my day job takes me around Warwickshire looking after their bridges, so sometime in the next week or so I should be able to get up near the Sutton Coldfield area to hand over your prize. I am away this weekend so it wont be til next Tuesday at the earliest, but rest assured the pack is in my boot ready for the opportunity. How best to contact you? Part of being away this weekend is joining the car meet in Brighton on Sunday - around 40 cars altogether in Brighton, about 30 or so meeting in Crawley for a cruise down the A23. Should be fun, methinks. Best wishes to all, Pablojag1 (aka Steve) -
I couldn't agree more about the xk. I have an older model, drives beautifully and looks the business to boot! Mine needs a bit of cosmetic work but so far (18 months I have had it) appears 1st class mechanically.

I would like to come along as well, possibly bring a (non-Jag owner) friend and his car along too... Regards Steve
