  4. thanks for the advice trevor and peter to. since ive stopped working we have put on a lot of weight. HM blames the medication. which is partly true. but all the chocolate ,ice cream and all the other rubbish and portion size at meal times are to blame. as is lack of exercise is to blame. i could do with losing 3and half stone . my suits dont fit anymore. we are renewing our vows on 24th next month was hoping to lose a stone before that or its a new suit

  21. sorry alan should have looked at your location. thers a place in bristol. bristol transsmisionsn also zf- rated charlie
  22. hi allan jaguar say the gearbox oil should last the lifetime of the car. as do bmw audi merc ect. but in reality thats not true. some of us up here in central scotland 30 odd of us all jags old and new attended a tour at mackies automatic transmissions here in glasgow. a factory tour. and the sealed for life gearbox oil was blown out the water. mackies say that you should get the gear box oil and thers a filter in ther to changed between every 50-60,000 miles. they are the only zf rated place by all manufactures here in scotland. cost about 2-300 quid. you would have to google it up to see whos close to you.my xk is approaching 50,000 and i intend to have it done this year charlie
  23. oh thats handy thanks trevor
  24. hi guys what is valet mode for!!!!
  25. hi i posted this subject to see what other jag drivers thing about the daytime running lights.my first experience of driving was with moter bikes was when driving during the day to drive the bike with the lights on so that you can be seen. bikers call it the arsole factor as they say which is true that all moter ists are arseholes. whom have no conssideration for other road users, in many a case to be true as we all see in a day to day experience. todays modern cars are fitted with daytime running lights i call them fairy lights. and wee see all types ect. to me its a money grabbing exercise . it seems that every 2yrs they change and you fell out of place if you havnt got the latest model. welcome your views
