hi guys. i had a simular problem a few years ago with one of our transits. it would go into limp. consulted the garage we used at that time to service the vans, the guy told me to switch the egnition on and off three times wen your driving it. and it will re-booke its self. but every now and then it flarded up and i was getting sick of hearing about it from the drivers. i happend to mention it to my best mate . who is the type of guy that wont let a problem beat him. he told me to leave the van with him for a weekend, which i did, on the sunday nite he came down to the house . ive bought a diacnostic laptop on ebay he said do you want to half in with me , i said ok how mutch is it knowing that they can cost thousands.(sorry forgot to add hes an ex mechanic) £300 quid he said . ok no problem. the laptop came he put it on the van it came up as engine management faults. we got new egr valve and sensor. the diacnostic machine took the fault of the dash for a wile only to return days later. cost about £300 quid for the parts. joe then striped down the engine checked the injecters, low and be-hold one of them was swelt up at the end. he took the 4 of them to a place he knew got them re-furbed at a cost of £550 put them back in and re programed the system .alls going well no more limp mode or dash warning lights. but at a cost. but not as mutch as a garage would have taken. code readers and diacnostic machines only tell you thers a problem they dont fix it. but im glad we got one. it took my sons service light of his bmw 325 no probs. so my advice to you is get your injectors checked out .hope this has been of help charlie57
