  3. Hi guys my car has 94000 on clock and ive started touring with a caravan, does anyone think it would be beneficial to have the sealed for life box oil changed or leave it alone, with the extra strain on the box want to limit the strain on it , any advice please, mick.

DANNY, iam a bit concerned when u say you cant feel any change in the power, I rode in my sons after he had his done and I could definitely feel a lot more pull and better pickup, plus the tuner ive booked mine with guarantees I will notice a big increase in power, ill report when its done, hope your dino run goes ok , cheers mick.

Hi Danny, look on a site called Quontum tuning, they do all kinds of maps and they guarantee an big increase in noticable power, iam having mine done shortly and will post the results on the forum, you should definitely notice an increase of 98 lbs of torque and 45 bhp, if you talk to a good tuner they tell you to be very careful ; some garages are not always honest with the work they do , if you know what I mean, as iam sure you do, I would take ricks advice have it on a rolling road to check the results, mick.

Hi guys anyone had the problem while towing , I was around whitby after going up a lot of hills which were fairly steep my temp went into the red with a warning light I stopped and drove on after a few mins it then was in the normal eventually is this normal or should I be worried, the water level was ok , thanks any replies, mick.
  9. Thanks for replying Trevor, ive enquired at my mot place they have no probs with mot as long as they dont dazzle other cars, he aldo said he had fitted them to his xj6 and wouldnt be without them now so searching internet for best kit available, thanks mick.

  11. Hi Trevor, thanks for the reply, my sons just had his s remapped and the dpf removed, its made a big difference it pulls a lot harder with only a slight puff of smoke on acceleration, he has yet to see about mpg, me next I think .cheers.mick

Hi members, thinking of doing as my topic says, ive read so much about the probs with dpfs , as a lot of my driving is short local trips iam expecting probs in the future, I also like the thought of another 10% bhp and torque, , apparently the 2.7 diesel is so tunable and safely done, any thoughts on this subject or advice please, cheers mick

Thanks for that nightrider, would you please keep me informed, I dont understand how the police can do that, I understand its not illegal to have one as long as its sprung , I contacted my insurance they didnt give a damn, I'm confused if they are illegal or not, I think I will contact the police and jaguar to also ask their opinion, in my opinion I think if I was pulled I'd take it to the courts and argue the case, cheers.

  15. Hi guys I would like the jaguar figure on my bonnet but is it against the law even with a sprung one fitted, any advice please before I drill the bonnet.
  16. Hi mate go for the 4.2 it has the new more reliable camchain tensioners, if you have to replace the old ones in a 4 its about 1500 notes, just my own findings having had a 4 litre , lovely car I loved every mile in it enjoy.
  17. Hi guys just joined the club, I collect my 55 plate s type on Saturday, I want to fit a towing bracket inc electrics, has anyone fitted one and if so how easy or hard was it, thanks for any advice,.
