  1. Peter, Your S type is fine. love the look of them . What do they make up north? most of the northerners live in Devon . The XKR is fine, it's me that's out of date and slow . Been alive 23559 days now, the first 14 were spent in Liverpool because my mum didn't want me to be born Welsh, refuse to be scouse though ! ATB, Trevor P.S., Next time you're down in civilisation ( I don't mean Devon obviously) you can have a drive of the XKR
  2. Charlie, Why does it take two to go shopping, that has always puzzled me ? ATB, Trevor
  3. Charlie, Peter won't be quiet for long, he's northern English, he's probably got a mouth full of mushy peas. I'm retired also but missing the music a great deal, will be a pensioner in a few weeks and have already sorted a tin of those travel sweets for the car which are obligatory for oldies. ATB, Trevor P.S. Put your foot down with 'er indoors, tell her it's your turn to be boss "
  4. Chis, Welcome (another southerner, we are growing in power!) Got my XKR about a month ago, I agree they are fab, and don't let anyone tell you it's the poor mans' Aston Martin, it isn't, ive had two DB9's, and the XKR is far superior in every way. My XKR. http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/gallery/album/129-jaguar-xkr-2012/ Will be down Brighton way in August as the wife's boy is getting married (poor bloke!) ATB, Trevor
  5. Charlie, I don't like Vauxhalls either, £329 a month! ? go and get your wallet surgically opened and buy the woman one . My friend works on a merc stealership in Nottingham and is allowed one discount car a year for "family" to them I am her father ATB, Trevor
  6. Charlie, Oh the witches brew, prefer to use decent petrol , but you are right about the dark lanes in Devon though . Taking the wife for a walk tomorrow . ATB, Trevor
  7. Charlie, What's a great idea, you've lost me?, also at my age you spend money not save it ATB, Trevor
  8. Charlie, I might add that the nearest supermarket that sells fuel is 17 miles away, so the matter never arises anyhow. ATB, Trevor
  9. Charlie, I think that Terraclean is best on devil's fuel cars . Mine is fairly new , so thankfully I haven't got to worry about things like that (yet) . Also, everything they say on the square box isn't gospel . ATB, Trevor
  10. Peter, But yours has candles ! ATB, Trevor
  11. Charles, I was told by various mechanics when I had the M3, and the two Astons, and the Jags to avoid supermarket fuel like the plague, which I have done without any problems . Also one cannot own a Jag and quibble about a few extra pence for decent fuel . Peter raves over the terra clean thing since he had it done, as have a few other peeps. He will be along shortly to explain it once he's had his orders for the day . ATB, Trevor
  12. Karl, Is this of any help ? http://www.jaginfo.org/archive/index.php/t-6648.html ATB, Trevor
  13. Charlie, If you think BMW's are bad, never buy as Aston Martin, i've had two, the two worst cars i've had in my life. The Jags have been the best. ATB, Trevor

  15. Graham, Just interested, just goes to show anyone can get hold of the software for free , The stealerships are full of nonesense , who needs them ? ! Jaguar EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) contains information on spare parts and accessories for all models of the firm, including all models from 1983 to the present. Supplied catalog on a DVD, you can completely installed on the hard drive, or work with DVD, supports multiple languages.) And that was just a quick look ATB, Trevor

  18. Gary, Welcome to the club (a southerner at last) , I think Christine's idea sounds the best for starters. ATB, Trevor
  19. Peter, I've been told to avoid supermarket fuel by a couple of mechanics for the reasons you state , and I agree it is worth paying a bit extra for decent stuff, as well as peace of mind. ATB, Trevor
  20. Barry, It might not have any bearing as it was a different make of car , But I had a new BMW M3 which did the same thing, kept restarting it and everything cleared, but the warnings would still come back now and then . As it was under warranty I took it in expecting it to be just a computer glitch. It was the fuel pump beginning to fail . But I hope your is something more minor. ATB, Trevor
  21. Philip, Don't put yourself down, if we can help you in any way, we will if possible. ATB, Trevor

  24. Peter , Same here, I even cleaned the XJ Supersport on the morning I sold it to the garage . People said I was daft as they would clean it also. It just seemed like good manners to me. ATB, Trevor
