  1. Richard, Next to your name at the top, click on the icon that says "notifications" at the very top of the box that opens it says "options", click on that and you can change your notification preferences , you can also do the same with your messages. ATB, Trevor
  2. Richard, There should be a link in the actual email . ATB, Trevor
  3. Kevin, You might have posted it twice, how can you be sure ? ATB, Trevor
  4. Nev, I'm always up before five, then take 'er dog for a three mile walk round the reservoirs . I changed my Welsh christian name which I have always hated to Hendrix . ATB, trevor
  5. Nev, Changed my surname by deed poll the day before I got married just to confuse the wife, and I changed my christian name by deed poll a few weeks ago just for fun, ATB, Trevor
  6. Kevin, Like the S type, it looks like a proper Jag, reminds me of the mark 2.Morse would have one today if he was still alive . That is one of the reasons I got rid of the XJ Supersport, 'er indoors said it didn't look like a proper Jag, brilliant car though . What double post? you are seeing things, I blame that "S" button ! ATB, Trevor
  7. Charlie, Keep the XK, nothing wrong with the XF they are fine, but keep the XK and I'll let you be one of the Charisma Brothers . ATB, Trevor
  8. Colin, Could have got one here. Going to put the Exmoor Beast on mine http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jaguar-leaping-spring-bonnet-Mascot/dp/B008BEPKKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402469030&sr=8-1&keywords=jaguar+bonnet+mascot ATB, Trevor
  9. Peter, I thought the leaper was illegal, and we even had a magistrate on these pages that had been fined for it. Don't think one would look too good on the new models though, I think they look far better on the proper Jags (as the wife calls them) like your S type. got a flat one on the boot, and two etched into the headlight glass though. ATB, Trevor
  10. Peter, Glad you had a fab time , it has never been under any doubt that us oldies can see of the whippersnappers ! ATB, Trevor
  11. Colin, Don't know what to suggest then really, apart from blaming the Cornish! ATB, Trevor
  12. Colin. I would try another battery first (borrow one) a lot of so called computer glitches seem to stem from a failing battery . ATB, Trevor
  13. Sam, I think it is called a Gear selector illumination module . Do you mean something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XK8-XKR-Gear-Selector-Surround-/380237112590?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5887e5e50e or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XK8-XKR-Gear-Selector-Surround-/330541100520?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf5c8ede8 or David Manners are good for parts http://www.jagspares.co.uk/Manners/company.asp as are these people http://www.adamesh.co.uk/ It doesn't look a cheap part to replace though, but I hope you get it sorted. ATB, Trevor
  14. Colin, Bet i'm older than you, the XJ Supersport was a fab car, but was far too big for the cart tracks up here in North Devon .Also, as there's only the two of us, a two seater does us fine . I got the XJ Supersport mainly to keep 'er indoors happy after the Aston got mangled in the garage when in for a service, as she said she prefers four door, four seater cars. She never liked it from the day I got it,said it didn't look like a proper jag, it had three TV's , a 1200 watt 20 speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system, plus every other extra going ( it was a Jag directors car), and it was also faster than the Aston . But she moaned for eight months, so I got the XKR, which is just brilliant ! But saying that, all Jags are. This is the XJ Supersport I had for sale at the Grange in Exeter. http://www.grange.co.uk/used-car-details/jaguar-xj/50-v8-supercharged-supersport-4dr-auto-automatic-saloon-2012/devon/?regno=OY12MFJ&makeSB=Jaguar&modelSB=XJ ATB, Trevor
  15. Colin, Here is mine, some other pics in the gallery : http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/gallery/album/129-jaguar-xkr-2012/ And this was the XJ Supersport I traded in for it: http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/gallery/album/98-jaguar-xj-supersport/ ATB, Trevor
  16. Colin, This is what James recommends , but whatever you do, the Cornish will have never seen anything like it ! . My Jag was the first one to be spotted in Devon . http://www.amazon.co.uk/Autoglym-Surface-Detailing-Clay-Pieces/dp/B002N1YAT6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402230080&sr=8-1&keywords=Autoglym+Clay+Surface+Detailing+Clay+Kit ATB, Trevor
  17. Colin, How about a young blonde? ! Peter will be back from his five day birthday drinking festival shortly, he has an S type and can tell you all you want to know . But it's a Jaaaag, they all look fab . ATB, Trevor ( up the road from you in Devon land)
  18. Nev, Never eat bread, that's northern fare. I live in Ilfracombe, North Devon , or Liverpool On Sea as the locals call it. I reckon the XKR would make it to Honiton ATB, Trevor
  19. Nev, It's cheaper to change your name by deed poll to the number plate. ATB, Trevor
  20. Tis a nice car, not sure about the number plate though ATB, Trev
