  1. Hi Alan, I left my home town of Widnes when I was 32 for work, and at the moment I am thinking that we brought the rain to Sutton Coldfield. But we are the folks who live on the hill! Regards, Peter.
  2. Hi Alan, I get the same noises occasionally. I have been told that there is nothing wrong with the air con. It is just like a burp if you have eaten something too quickly. Peter.
  3. Hi Jordan, To get a price you will need to give the years the car was manufactured, its engine, its condition and its mileage. I have heard that the sort 200 is a limited "edition". Regards, Peter.
  4. Hi Ian, I would not use two additives at the same time. I think it would be overkill. Both additives are good. Regards, Peter.
  5. Welcome to the club, Kenneth. Ian has given you the correct answer. I use Millers Eco plus Diesel [Halfords supply it] and I have never had a DPF problem over the 7 years I have had my 2.7D S type. The Millers Eco plus gives a measured dose to each fill up and a bottle lasts about a year, as I do not do a big mileage nowadays. Regards, Peter.

  7. Hi Ian and welcome to the club. Jim has suggested that you should call into a dealer who should be able to tell you what colour you interior is. When I got my S type just over 7 years ago I found out that my interior was an optional extra, as the Dove Grey actually was marked on the list of optional extras. The code of mine is written on the jar of seat refurbishing wax. If you look at the car body on the passenger side there is a small plate with the body and interior code. It might not be so on the XF. Regards, Peter,
  8. Welcome to the Club, Geoff. The XK is a great car, and a future classic, Look after your car and the car will look after you. I hope you will enjoy the cub as much as you enjoy your car. Regards, Peter.
  9. Hi Brian, It is not working properly. My s type, which a I have for over 7 years has never let me down, even though the disc is the final one - a 2012/13 version. I think you could either clean the disc or invest about £25 for a new one - they are still available. Regards, Peter.
  10. Mill. [ The Tandem Mill is a unit in a Steelworks]
  11. Hi Georgia, and welcome to the club. I have never come across so many faults on a diesel engine. I have had my s type with a 2.7 litre diesel engine for 7 years and never had a DPF problem. I always use premium fuel and use an additive [Millers Eco Plus Diesel] which keeps the EGR valves clean and keeps the exhaust system clean. I have been retired for 21 years and no longer do the mileage that I used to, but I do try to give my car a good run once a month [Covid 19 doesn't help]. My car has done 85,000 miles. I have the feeling that there is something wrong that should have been discovered and it could be worth a letter to Jaguar. You are doing nothing wrong with your driving and I feel that Jaguar should do something. Let us know how you get on. Regards, Peter.
  12. Hi Gary, My s type can switch off sensors, so I am fairly sure the XF can do the same. Regards, Peter.
  13. Hi Stephen and welcome to the club. I have not got one of those systems, but there are some members who have, and hopefully they will see your post and give you some advice. Regards, Peter
