  1. This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual. It is a Jaguar only event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, trying to get close to matching Jims last organised event :-), and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember. There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc. If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-) Convoy from Pease Pottage Services: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 Sport Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS Convertible Brian R 2011 XFR Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio Ian D 2006 XK Coupe NeilJ 2000 S-Type PabloJag1 XKR Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type Brent 2003 S-Type David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio Dre 2000 S-Type MuskieTwo 2004 XKR PaulJag 2001 S-Type 3.0 Sport PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 Mybrief 2003 S-Type Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR Haddock 1995 Daimler Six 4.0 Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe Total 26 cars Main Meet Event on Brighton Seafront: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 +1 (JaguarForums.com) Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR +1 (JaguarForums.com) Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 +1 (JaguarForums.com) HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS convertible +2 (JaguarForums.com) Brian R 2011 XFR + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ian D 2006 XK Coupe + 1 (JaguarForum.com) NeilJ 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) PabloJag1 2001 XKR + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Elvis (Smile57) 2007 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Brent 2003 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Premium Luxury + 1 (via email) Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED + 5 (via email) Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE + 2 (JaguarForum.com) DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio + 2 (JaguarForum.com) Dre 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) MuskieTwo 2004 XKR + 1 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 2001 S-Type 3.0 Sport + 1 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Mybrief 2003 S-Type +3 (JaguarForums.com) Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR + 1 (Facebook.com) Haddock 1995 Daimler Six 4.0 + 1 (JaguarForums.com) Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe + 2 (Facebook.com) Automatic Gearbox Centre - Automatic gearbox specialists Total 27 cars - 42 attendees Official Event Support Vehicle: Rowan Lill Official Event Photographer: Stephen Cox from CarSnapped (@CarSnapped) Event Sponsors: Harwoods Jaguar - Harwoods Jaguar Brighton SNG Barratt - SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist WaxOnWaxOff - www.wo-wo.co.uk Autoglym - Pas5i0n for Perfection Haynes Manuals - See Haynes, See How Scratch Shield - The bucket filter system Ultimo GT Lubricants - High Performance Engine Oil Furniture Clinic - Specialising in the care, repair, & restration of leather Professional Detailers & Valeters - The UK's trade association for skilled, proven, and insured car care professionals Automatic Gearbox Centre - Automatic gearbox specialists Industry Attendees: Harwoods Jaguar - Harwoods Jaguar Brighton Ultimo GT Lubricants - High Performance Engine Oil Event Advertisers: Carphile.co.uk - Celebrating classic and interesting cars VisitBrighton.com - Our Entry The Brighton Argus - Our Entry note updates will also appear on Twitter - why not follow the meet @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet or like us and follow us at our NEW Facebook events page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK and to see previous events for a taste of things please have a look at: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2015 in Brighton UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton

  4. After my last £879 MOT on my X-Type I would be very cautious.. with that amount of corrosion already picked up on, although not detrimental yet, and the exhaust leak it could rapidly approach the cost of my last MOT which was rear shocks, front suspension arm, breather pipe and one sill welded.. would the seller be prepared for you to put it through a pre-MOT check before agreeing a sale to see if anything has changed from advisory to major?
  5. OK, you know my statistics about our events are not always perfect so please bear with me if I have missed anyone out *but* so far I think we have: Attendees coming from the Midlands, South Wales, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Worcestershire, London, and now the Netherlands :-) A much wider geographical spread than our previous events.. The following (rough) breakdown of attending cars as Daimler 6 x 1, S-Type x 8, X-Type x 2, XF x 1, XFR x 1, XJ x 3, XJR x 2, XJ8 x 1, XJS x 1, XK x 1 & XKR x 3 covering years 1995 - 2011. It would be great to get some of the older Jags (pre 1996) along on the day with maybe some 2014/2015 models as well - if you know anyone with prized Jags in those years please see if they would like to come along as it would be great to cover as many production years as we can..
  6. Don't forget you can follow all the latest about our event here on this forum thread, or by: Following our Twitter feed @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet Friending our event facebook page at www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK or by dropping me a line at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk and asking for email updates.. and if you haven't signed up yet, please do! We have Welcome Packs with loads of info and freebies for you, discount codes and vouchers for a range of products and services we all need, a free prize draw with some great prizes to be won, and even industry representatives on site to answer your questions, plus of course our fixed price breakfast, a showroom Jaguar or two to look over, PLUS all the usual seaside fun as you would expect from Brighton.

  14. OK guys, a mini update - we now have the 'Professional Valeters & Detailers Trade Association' onboard as an official event sponsor. Please have a look at their website www.pro-valets.co.uk to see if they have a valeter near you, and join me in welcoming them as an event sponsor.. more info to follow :-)
  15. You cannot go wrong with that logic :-) You have two great looking cats there side by side.. congratulations - At home I have a 2002 X-Type 2.5 for the school runs and all the general running around and then we have the 1998 XJ Sport 3.2 which is a gorgeous car, for the weekends, holidays and longer trips.. if we can just get the kids sorted then we will probably want an XK.. sooo love them but two doors just dont work when you have kids (even the four door X-Type has taken quite a hammering sigh) It's great to see your two cats though.. thankyou
  16. Just waiting on confirmation that our event is listed on the Crawley Borough Councils' Events page - then we will be listed by the council at our starting, and finishing points :-) hopefully raising some sign ups from locals in Brighton and Crawley.. I will let you know when it is live.
