  1. OK, yes I know this is a while off but the next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening in May 2015! The event will have the format of a primary meet at Pease Pottage Services, with a convoy down to Madiera Drive, parking up in one huge block there for the main meet, prior to a fixed price big breakfast and the social events, photo shoots etc. I am working hard on retaining our sponsors from the Winter meet, and will try to ensure we have industry attendees to answer any Jaguar sales or servicing questions you may have. The last Spring/Summer meet attracted a lot of interest from tourists interested in the cars, and was a fantastic day all round, so it is well worth putting your name forward for. The more attendees we have the more interest I will be able to raise in sponsorship and industry attendance. If you would like to check up on some of our recent Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet events please have a look here: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2014 in Brighton and here: UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton Being a Spring/Summer meet this event will be exclusively Jaguar - if you have a car of another marque - don't worry - the next Winter meet will be open to all marques again. If you would like to attend this convoy and meet please put your name forward and I will be happy to add you in. The event is free as such, as always, and will continue to be so, but there will be parking costs, and the cost of the fixed price breakfast on the day. You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the met and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling.. This event will be happening on one of the following dates: 3rd, 10th, 17th or 24th of May 2015 - I will be putting the dates up for voting nearer the time. Listed below are Car details plus occupants (inc driver) where we have the info... 3. Come on guys - why not guarantee yourself and your car a great day out by the seaside - something to look forward to through these dark and damp days? A chance to be part of a convoy making a huge Jaguar impact as it arrives at the main meet, a chance to meet everyone you see on the forums, have a great morning with a big breakfast, and social events. Harwoods Jaguar will be there with maybe 2 brand new XE's to check out, The Automatic Gearbox Centre will be in attendance to answer all your transmission queries. It's going to be a big day... why not sign up now by posting on here, or dropping me an email at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk ? I will update the thread on here as we go, as I manage to organise more into the day :-)
  4. Hi Guys, Well, I haven't been resting on things, and I do now have some good news for you regarding one of our welcome pack sponsors - I have been in discussions with them for a while since our last event and have negotiated a discount with them, for meet attendees. I must stress that this is in no way associated with this or any other forum directly, as the forums all have their own sponsors and I have no wish to infringe on things, or step on toes, which is why this is specifically for meet attendees With the official disclaimer out of the way I can give you the details.. At our last convoy and meet, we received a sample of a 1900:1 car shampoo which has proved really popular with attendees that tried it. I have been discussing this with Car-Chem and they have agreed to offer meet attendees a 12% discount on all products purchased from them. Their website is www.car-chem.com and you need to enter a discount code at the checkout of 'jaguar12' (all in lowercase). They supply accessories and cleaning chemicals. Their only proviso is that if you use the discount to purchase accessories please also order cleaning chemicals at the same time. I hope this deal is of use to you guys, and that you are able to take advantage of it - I hope that as I work on things here we are able to make the convoy and meet more than just a regular event for every one

  10. OK.... a little bit of an update we are already looking at double figures for people signed up for the next bi-annual meet ( UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2015 in Brighton ) and shortly I will be sending off the pics from the event, along with our comments regarding the Welcome Pack contents, to our event sponsors. It would be very helpful if you could pm me your comments on the product samples so I have something to feed back to them whilst asking them if I can interest them in supporting our spring/summer event. Meanwhile though please have a great Christmas and Happy New Year - The Sheldon family
  11. The list is steadily growing for this event - if you have not signed up yet, and are unsure why not have a look at the threads for the May and December meets in 2014, and you will see we try our best to give you a fantastic Jaguar day out! Also, those of you that received Welcome Packs at the December meet could you pm me with how you got on with the samples, then I can feed this back to the sponsors and it will hopefully help us to retain them. Meanwhile, as always I will update you as I go with getting everything pulled together for this meet

  13. You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the meet and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling.. This event will be happening on one of the following dates: 3rd, 10th, 17th or 24th of May 2015 - I will be putting the dates up for voting nearer the time. 15. OK guys - at the end of this week I will be officially transferring my progress in everything from the December 2014 thread to this thread for our Spring/Summer meet.. so keep an eye on things as I have a few things I am working on currently for us :-)
  16. Hi All I took Monday off forum work (well, apart for sending photo's to people by email where requested and keeping a general eye on things) and I now have a stackload to work through here lol - there's always a cost to days off grin OK, I believe most the pictures and videos are up online now, and I will hopefully be getting a chance to pull together the synopsis of the day for everyone. Thankyou again to everyone who came along on the day, and to our sponsors: Car-Chem, MotorGeek, SNG Barratt UK, and Harwoods Jaguar Brighton. Those of you that received goodie bags please make good use of those discount vouchers for the products that you like - it's by our feedback that our sponsors know it is worth sticking with us for future meets :-) I have collated everything into the master thread rather than try duplicating everything everywhere or split things across the forums - so if you want to see some great photos of the day, and see all the chat and discussion to-date please have a look at: http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/uk-south-east-meet-december-2014-brighton-119699/ *and* if you enjoyed the day, and want another day but with warmer weather and the promise of more things going on please put your name forward here: http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/uk-south-east-meet-spring-summer-2015-brighton-131529/
  17. OK - today is the last day I'll be officially posting on here before the meet. Anyone wanting to be added to the list between now and the day, please post on here but also email me, to let me know, at the usual address of JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk as I will stand a better chance of picking up an email. Anyone not yet signed up there is still time to do so, and you will be very welcome to come along. The weather looks to be the same as we had at the last winter meet - wet and windy first thing, but easing through the morning.. so hopefully it will be dry on arrival in Brighton. We currently have a host of things going on.. from goody bags to start the event, a convoy down the A23 to the main meet site, Harwoods Jaguar - Brighton & The Automatic Gearbox Centre attending to answer your questions, a fixed price breakfast with tea/coffee, lots of cars to look over including, with this meet, a 3 wheeler Morgan, TVR Tuscans, a Noble, a Mclaren and more!! Also we have two photoshoots - one at the start of the convoy for our sponsors and another against the backdrop of The Jag Art Gallery for the forums.. *plus* getting our names onto the official forum banner used at all our Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meets for prosperity! It's going to be a great day and that's not all - I am already working on the spring/summer event - warmer weather, same great backdrop, and even more packed into the day - if you enjoy our December meet why not sign up for the next one now and guarantee yourself a great Jaguar day out! All the info you need for this December meet is in the thread above this - and if you want the *full* thread then please go to UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton where you will find the master thread.. I look forward to seeing you all on the day,,,
  18. 19. OK we have hit the magic 60 vehicles! I am in and out of meetings at work over the next few days so I'm going to try to list all the info you need in this post.. The days itinerary is listed below for your info, so you know when you need to be where for this event... 08:15 Meet at Pease Pottage Service Station at the base of the M23.08:20 Initial 'Welcome to the Event' greeting, and packs handed out.08:30 Depart in convoy for Brighton (cruising speed 65mph)09:15 Park up in one large parking block in Madiera Drive.09:30-10:30 Big Breakfast in Madiera Cafe (b/fast + tea/coffee for £5 only)10:30 General social events etc. start11:30 Group signings of banner, and group photos for the forums The parking is pay and display at this location and is £1 for an hour, £2 for two hours, £4 for four hours, or £7 for 11 hours (I would suggest for most people the £4 parking option will be sufficient). Your meal will be £5.00 per person.. so hopefully no shocks or surprises if you are on a budget Possibly the best area to park at Pease Pottage Services is to the left as you go in, as from memory the HGVs park to the right. At Pease Pottage Services the Welcome Packs will be distributed one per car and on a first come, first served basis as I didn't anticipate quite as much interest as we have had in this meet - I *will* do better for the next meet in May :-) Additionally at Pease Pottage we will need to do a very quick photo shoot with the Welcome Packs for our sponsors. The cruise to Brighton is set at 65mph to ensure all our vehicles make it without any problems considering that we have vehicles from 1968 right through to 2014. We need to park up on Madiera Drive in one block if at all possible somewhere between The Jag Art Gallery and the Madeira Cafe. The Madiera cafe may well struggle with our numbers on the day so I may have to negotiate the same breakfast deal with another cafe next door and spread the load. Tony will be there to answer any Jaguar sales related questions, and will hopefully have two showroom cars for us to have a look at and Kevin will be there from the Automatic Gearbox Centre to answer any transmission queries.. We will all be signing the meet banner and having group shots taken for the forums at 11:30.. On the day you will need to track me down for the Welcome Packs etc .. My car is a dark blue X-Type 2.5 RN02CVS, and my phone number should you need to get hold of me on the day is 07914 116375. I will also be trying to monitor emails etc as I go.. JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk or stephen.sheldon@solidlinux.co.uk
  20. If you are still undecided whether to come, or have already signed up by posting on here or emailing me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk here are the very latest stats on our favourite bi-annual event.. JUST 3 DAYS TO GO! We have Welcome Packs for the first time.. with many thanks to our new event sponsors! We have Harwoods Jaguar Brighton in attendance with hopefully either two showroom F-Type Coupes, or one showroom F-Type and a showroom XK Dynamic to look over We have Tony from Harwoods Jaguar Brighton and Kevin from The Automatic Gearbox Centre to answer any sales, or transmission enquiries you have. We have 57 cars signed up so far for the Pease Pottage to Brighton Convoy to make a huge entrance in Brighton at the start of the main meet. We have 61 cars signed up for the main meet itself so far! We have booked the Madeira Cafe for £5 fixed price breakfast & tea/coffee. The parking is just £1 an hour on Madeira Drive for this meet. You get to see Jaguars right from a 1968 Mk2 through to the very latest 2014 models You also get to see TVR Tuscans, a Noble, BMW, possibly a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Morgan 3 wheeler, a Mclaren MP4 and more... Gary, owner of The Jag Gallery has kindly suggested photo shoots with his gallery as a backdrop for anyone who would like that... And finally and most importantly you get to meet the people you meet on the forums in real life, to see their cars, talk and get to know everyone better! It is a great social event easing the Christmas rush for us and giving us a break as only a 'Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy and Meet' can! If you look further up the thread you will find the itinerary and loads of info on the event.. so go on, even if you are unsure I am sure your car would love the event.. why not pop a post on this thread or just email me and put your name forward? Additionally, as promised, I am working on the next Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet, and am currently starting to take bookings here: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2015 in Brighton so if you can't make this one don't worry you can now put your name forward for the next one and still guarantee yourself a good Jaguar day out:-) Equally if you attend our bi-annual meets regularly you may want to get signed up now for the next one :-)
