  2. If you are still undecided whether to come, or have already signed up by posting on here or emailing me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk here are the very latest stats on our favourite bi-annual event.. JUST 5 DAYS TO GO! We have Welcome Packs for the first time.. with many thanks to our new event sponsors! We have Harwoods Jaguar Brighton in attendance with hopefully either two showroom F-Type Coupes, or one showroom F-Type and a showroom XK Dynamic to look over We have Tony from Harwoods Jaguar Brighton and Kevin from The Automatic Gearbox Centre to answer any sales, or transmission enquiries you have. We have 54 cars signed up so far for the Pease Pottage to Brighton Convoy to make a huge entrance in Brighton at the start of the main meet. We have 60 cars signed up for the main meet itself so far! We have booked the Madeira Cafe for £5 fixed price breakfast & tea/coffee. The parking is just £1 an hour on Madeira Drive for this meet. You get to see Jaguars right from a 1968 Mk2 through to the very latest 2014 models You also get to see TVR Tuscans, a Noble, BMW, possibly a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Morgan 3 wheeler, a Mclaren MP4 and more... Gary, owner of The Jag Gallery has kindly suggested photo shoots with his gallery as a backdrop for anyone who would like that... And finally and most importantly you get to meet the people you meet on the forums in real life, to see their cars, talk and get to know everyone better! It is a great social event easing the Christmas rush for us and giving us a break as only a 'Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy and Meet' can! If you look further up the thread you will find the itinerary and loads of info on the event.. so go on, even if you are unsure I am sure your car would love the event.. why not pop a post on this thread or just email me and put your name forward? Additionally, as promised, I am working on the next Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet, and am currently starting to take bookings here: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2015 in Brighton so if you can't make this one don't worry you can now put your name forward for the next one and still guarantee yourself a good Jaguar day out:-) Equally if you attend our bi-annual meets regularly you may want to get signed up now for the next one :-)
  3. Almost forgot - on the day you will need to track me down for the Welcome Packs etc .. My car is a dark blue X-Type 2.5 RN02CVS, and my phone number should you need to get hold of me on the day is 07914 116375. I will also be trying to monitor emails etc as I go.. JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk or stephen.sheldon@solidlinux.co.uk
  4. OK we have hit the magic 60 vehicles! I am in and out of meetings at work over the next few days so I'm going to try to list all the info you need in this post.. The days itinerary is listed below for your info, so you know when you need to be where for this event... 08:15 Meet at Pease Pottage Service Station at the base of the M23.08:20 Initial 'Welcome to the Event' greeting, and packs handed out.08:30 Depart in convoy for Brighton (cruising speed 65mph)09:15 Park up in one large parking block in Madiera Drive.09:30-10:30 Big Breakfast in Madiera Cafe (b/fast + tea/coffee for £5 only)10:30 General social events etc. start11:30 Group signings of banner, and group photos for the forums The parking is pay and display at this location and is £1 for an hour, £2 for two hours, £4 for four hours, or £7 for 11 hours (I would suggest for most people the £4 parking option will be sufficient). Your meal will be £5.00 per person.. so hopefully no shocks or surprises if you are on a budget Possibly the best area to park at Pease Pottage Services is to the left as you go in, as from memory the HGVs park to the right. At Pease Pottage Services the Welcome Packs will be distributed one per car and on a first come, first served basis as I didn't anticipate quite as much interest as we have had in this meet - I *will* do better for the next meet in May :-) Additionally at Pease Pottage we will need to do a very quick photo shoot with the Welcome Packs for our sponsors. The cruise to Brighton is set at 65mph to ensure all our vehicles make it without any problems considering that we have vehicles from 1968 right through to 2014. We need to park up on Madiera Drive in one block if at all possible somewhere between The Jag Art Gallery and the Madeira Cafe. The Madiera cafe may well struggle with our numbers on the day so I may have to negotiate the same breakfast deal with another cafe next door and spread the load. Tony will be there to answer any Jaguar sales related questions, and will hopefully have two showroom cars for us to have a look at and Kevin will be there from the Automatic Gearbox Centre to answer any transmission queries.. We will all be signing the meet banner and having group shots taken for the forums at 11:30..

  12. Don't forget, if you liked the last couple of meets, and think you will like this one - don't forget you can now put your name down for the next meet at: http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/uk-south-east-meet-spring-summer-2015-brighton-131529/ and book yourself in for another great day :-)
  13. OK, yes I know this is a while off but the next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening in May 2015! The event will have the format of a primary meet at Pease Pottage Services, with a convoy down to Madiera Drive, parking up in one huge block there for the main meet, prior to a fixed price big breakfast and the social events, photo shoots etc. I am working hard on retaining our sponsors from the Winter meet, and will try to ensure we have industry attendees to answer any Jaguar sales or servicing questions you may have. The last Spring/Summer meet attracted a lot of interest from tourists interested in the cars, and was a fantastic day all round, so it is well worth putting your name forward for. The more attendees we have the more interest I will be able to raise in sponsorship and industry attendance. If you would like to check up on some of our recent Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet events please have a look here: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2014 in Brighton and here: UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton Being a Spring/Summer meet this event will be exclusively Jaguar - if you have a car of another marque - don't worry - the next Winter meet will be open to all marques again. If you would like to attend this convoy and meet please put your name forward and I will be happy to add you in. The event is free as such, as always, and will continue to be so, but there will be parking costs, and the cost of the fixed price breakfast on the day. You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the meet and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling.. This event will be happening on one of the following dates: 3rd, 10th, 17th or 24th of May 2015 - I will be putting the dates up for voting nearer the time. 15. Just to quickly update you - I am just waiting on final details but it looks like a Mclaren will be coming along for the convoy and meet :-) So I think we pretty much have everything covered right from basic commuter cars such as mine through to a Noble, a Morgan, TVR Tuscans and now a Mclaren :-)
  16. You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the met and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling.. This event will be happening on one of the following dates: 3rd, 10th, 17th or 24th of May 2015 - I will be putting the dates up for voting nearer the time. Listed below are Car details plus occupants (inc driver) where we have the info...
