  1. OK guys, it's late afternoon on a Tuesday with 11 and a 1/2 weeks to go. I just wanted to stop for a second and say Thankyou to everyone who has been involved in any way with this years event since its first inception in I think it was September last year. We have the largest Brighton Convoy & Meet to-date, and new this year we have a team of people supporting the day and I would like to make you aware of them, so you know who is doing what on the day... Steve from CarSnapped - he will be trying to get all the official event photos from both venues and the convoy when it is on the move Rowan Lill - he will be in our official event support vehicle, there to help with the logistics of the day and helping out where he can if there are any situations that require assistance. PaulJag and his family - they will be assisting with Welcome Pack distribution and ensuring we don't lose any attendees through the day Tony from Harwoods - He will be there to show you the latest F-Pace AWD and possibly one or two other showroom cars, discuss any sales, or servicing queries and will be the draw master for the main prize draw on the day. Kevin from The Automatic Gearbox Centre - He will be there to answer any and all queries regarding transmission and associated issues. Revs UK Team - For the first time Revs UK, famous on Twitter, will be onsite to meet people and I believe will have recording equipment with them for the event. They will also be draw masters for the second specialist draw on the day. Ultimo GT - For the first time Ultimo GT Lubricants will be onsite for all your lubrication queries, able to advise you on exactly what you need for your Jaguar WeLoveBrighton.com - Another first! We will have a representative onsite joining us and able to answer any queries regarding the Brighton locality and facilities. That is (currently at least) the team that will be working to ensure the day goes well.. a huge massive thankyou to all of them for signing up to help! Aside from this we have a number of great sponsors supplying everything from discounted accomodation, through to discounted Costa, great discounts to help you keep you Jaguar costs down, fantastic prizes for you to win, people onsite to meet you and so much more - I am grateful to all of them for their help and support. With the help of everyone our event is growing year on year, event on event & hopefully giving you a new fresh experience every time encouraging you to maybe get involved in our next event :-) If you have not signed up, you really do risk missing a masssively great Jaguar day, with no signup or admission fees.. so go on, drop a post on a forum thread, our facebook page (www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK) or Tweet or follow us at @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet, or if you can't do any of that just email us at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk Oh yes.. not to forget Rowan and Tony will also be judging the cars (all the ones that have a Dashboard info sheet in the windscreen - remember) for the car to hold the title of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' for the year right through to our 2017 event - so maybe make use of the discount codes we have so far to help you get your car ready for what is likely to be a very tightly fought contest :-)

Don't forget we have discounted event accomodation at Holiday Inn Express Crawley (literally 6 min drive from our start point) just quote 'JaguarForum.com event' to get a fixed rate of £54 per room/night and to give you a great night before or after the event. 4. Here we go.. here is the event itinerary for this years event. We have packed in as much as we can (quite a bit more than last year) whilst trying to ensure we can obtain sufficient seafront parking, and also keep the parking costs down for those who will be on a budget for the day. 07:45 Sharp Meet at Pease Pottage Services for Welcome Packs and a quick rundown of the day. remember we have an indoor area set saside for us and to get your 20% discount on Costa products by saying you are with the JaguarForums.com event! 08:20 Depart in convoy from Pease Pottage Services for Madiera Drive, Brighton 09:00-10:00 We are booked into the Madiera Harvester for breakfast - they recommend the two of everything for £4.99 plus drinks - remember to state you are with the JaguarForums.com event as they are setting an area aside for us. 10:00 -12:30 General socialising, car inspections, & meet the industry specialists we have onsite. 12:30 Group signing of event banner and photo shoots for the forums, Twitter and Facebook. 12:45 Main prize draw, drawn by Tony from Harwoods Jaguar 12:55 Secondary draw of some specialist items, drawn by the RevsUK team. 13:00 Rowan & Tony will announce the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' Most importantly I hope you have a great Jaguar Day!!
  5. I have been looking at the event itinerary and should have a final version of it up online tomorrow. We have got a lot going on this year, and I also want to try to give us more chance at the parking slots available in Madiera Drive - so it is going to vary somewhat from our previous events.. but hopefully all for the better :-) Please keep an eye on this space tomorrow :-)
  6. OK guys quite a bit has been happening in the past few days since the weekly summary so I thought I would update you in advance of the next one on Friday this week when we will be just 11 weeks from our event. This year we have a new added feature for 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' giving those who get more chance than me to detail and really look after your Jaguars a chance at forum fame for a year (and a cool prize)! In order to take part in this you will need to have your dashboard sheet filled in and displayed on the dashboard of your car (dashboard info sheets will be in your Welcome Packs). My XJ, and any showroom cars from Harwoods will be excluded from this award. The judges will be Rowan (who is supplying our event support vehicle) and Tony from Harwoods, and their decision will be final.. you will get photos of your car and yourself on the forum threads, Twitter, and Facebook and hold the title of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' until the next event in May 2017 Additionally our event now has 101 Twitter followers keeping an eye on how we are doing, and our forum thread hits are going through the roof close to outstripping the forum hits for all of our previous Brighton Convoy & Meets combined. Thankyou, a huge thankyou to everyone involved in our event for making it what it is just 2 and a half years after our first event with I think it was, seven attendees.

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area set aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started. The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered. Then there will be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive. There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event when ordering. The only other cost for the day is the parking which is likely to be £3.20 for one hour, £5.20 for 2 hours, £10.40 for 4 hours or £15.60 for 11 hours (Brighton Council are reviewing the rates in April though ). CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes) The main meet will follow on from then with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free prize draw for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Not forgetting that this is your chance to meet up with all the people you know online, maybe advise them on any issues you have solved or figured and for others to help you out with any issues and to check out up to 100 Jaguars including the new Jaguar F-Pace AWD!! Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed availability and the fixed discounted rate of £54 a night. If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-) Convoy from Pease Pottage Services: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 Sport Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS Convertible Brian R 2011 XFR Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio Ian D 2006 XK Coupe NeilJ 2000 S-Type PabloJag1 XKR Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type Brent 2003 S-Type David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio Dre 2000 S-Type MuskieTwo 2004 XKR PaulJag 1995 XJ6 3.2 PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 Mybrief 2003 S-Type Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR Haddock 1996 XJR Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe Wessex 2000 XJ8 3.2 Emerald Roger.Grote 2007 S-Type XS 2.7 Liquid Silver Stanboy 2005 S-Type 2.7 BigTel XFR-100 Judith & Fred Bone 1999 S-Type Alan Dyer 2000 Silver XKR Hugo 1976 XJC Mick Parker 2000 XK8 Adrian Lingard 2015 XE Presige 2.0 H2 JXE Neville Barker 1996 4.0 XJS Celebration Colin Shippey 2006 X-Type 2.2D Mark Stabler 1983 XJS Cabriolet Tim Jones 2000 XJ Sovereign 3.2 LWB Tried77 2015 F-Type with many mods TheMan 2005 XK8 4.2S CaptainHam 2016 F-Type Tim Jones 2000 XJ8 LWB Qwerty21 Daimler 5.3 V12 Coupe Xag 2005 XJ8 4.2 Sovereign Webby 2008 X-Type 2.0D Sport in Blue Prism Roger 2007 S-Type 2.7D REVSUK 2012 XF 3.0D CraigJM 1975 XJ Coupe 6.0 V12 Anna Stone 1966 E-Type Fitzy 2004 XJ8 3.5 Kenlea1 2004 XJ6 Gerald 2005 X-Type 2.0D Sport Bert 1972 E-Type (2+2) V12 Moe Barrett-Spring 2014 XKR/S Italian Racing Red, Drop Head Colin Pestell 2014 5.0 V8 F-Type Heather Willett 2013 XJ 3.0D Portfolio GeorgeMY17 2016 XF 2.0D Portfolio Supercat 2004 XJ Simon 2012 XFR Total 59 cars Main Meet Event on Brighton Seafront: SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 +1 (JaguarForums.com) Andrew Lowe 1998 XJR +1 (JaguarForums.com) Ngarara 2010 XKR 75 +1 (JaguarForums.com) HarleyJagMan 1994 XJS convertible +2 (JaguarForums.com) Brian R 2011 XFR + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ron The Guardian 2009 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Andrew65 2007 2.2 X-Type Estate + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Clifton94 2007 XJR Portfolio + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Ian D 2006 XK Coupe + 1 (JaguarForum.com) NeilJ 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) PabloJag1 2001 XKR + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Elvis (Smile57) 2007 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Phill (Reverend) 2002 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Brent 2003 S-Type + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) David Beasley 2011 XF 3.0 Premium Luxury + 1 (via email) Tonyxtype S-Type 2.7 SED + 5 (via email) Andy Ross 2004 S-Type 2.7 SE + 2 (JaguarForum.com) DwainLondon 2011 XJ Portfolio + 2 (JaguarForum.com) Dre 2000 S-Type + 1 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) MuskieTwo 2004 XKR + 1 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 1995 XJ6 3.2 + 3 (JaguarForums.com) PaulJag 1996 XJ Executive 3.2 + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Mybrief 2003 S-Type +3 (JaguarForums.com) Jeremy Bird 2001 XKR + 1 (Facebook.com) Haddock 1996 XJR + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Tinker 2005 XJ Sovereign + 2 (JaguarForums.com) Dave Troughton 2001 XK8 Coupe + 2 (Facebook.com) WiltsXK (Phil) 2010 XK Convertible + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Wessex (Peter & Carole) 2000 XJ8 3.2 Emerald + 2 (JaguarOwnersClub.com) Roger.Grote 2007 S-Type XS 2.7 Liquid Silver + 1 (JaguarForums.com) Stanboy 2005 S-Type 2.7 + 2 (JaguarForum.com) BigTel XFR-100 + 1 (JaguarForum.com) Judith & Fred Bone 1999 S-Type + 2 (JEC & Weald Classic Vehicle Club) Alan Dyer 2000 XKR + 1 (via email) Hugo 1976 XJC + 2 (via email) Mick Parker 2000 XK8 + 2 (via email) Adrian Lingard 2015 XE Prestige 2.0 H2 JXE + 1 (via email) Neville Barker 1996 4.0 XJS Celebration + 1 (JEC) Colin Shippey 2006 X-Type 2.2D + 2 (JEC) Mark Stabler 1983 XJS + 2 (Facebook) Tim Jones 2000 XJ Sovereign 3.2 LWB + 1 (Facebook) Tried77 2015 F-Type -
